For years, people have told us what a complete blunder we made by bringing this franchise to our city. Now the Rams are the story of the NFL. Solid front office, spectacular scouting, fervent fan base(50 straight sell outs and counting), playoff tickets sell out in 9 minutes, 2nd youngest team in the league, salary cap situation is fantastic and a bevy of young budding stars who are only going to get better. Not to mention that the Rams are the odds on favorite to win the big one this season. You were waiting for a debacle and have witnessed the creation of the NFL equivalent of Camelot.

Have you ever been to the dome on an NFL Sunday. It is no longer a 3 hour event. The tailgaters arrive around 8:00 AM and by 11:00 the city is buzzing. I bet 30,000 of the 40,000 PSL owners tailgate every Sunday. They stay long after the game too, celebrating the whipping put on by our beloved home team. It is really something to behold.

It is my opinion that the Rams were a great bargain for this city. We had already constructed this giant convention center which we had intended to fill with a NFL expansion franchise. The lease was in place and we only needed the team. Tags said no and the city had a giant empty dome with no franchise. So the Rams came and signed the lease that was in place for the Stallions and moved to our city. Fans, like me(4 in section 424), pitched in 72 million in PSL dollars to get the team to re-locate. That is really what the city paid to bring the team here, the dome and lease were already in place. That 72 million paid off Anaheim, Tags(NFL), built an incredible practice facility and paid the moving expenses. We paid 72 mill for an entire franchise in the most popular sport in the USA to play in our empty building for 30 years. By comparison just last year the LA Dodgers paid 120 mill for one pitcher for 7 years.

The Dome has really came into it own the past year. The city was awarded a NCAA basketball championship. The Pope held mass and conventions have filled the dome when the Rams are not busy. Big 12 championships, NCAA regionals, high school championships, tractor-pulls and moto-cross events are taking place on a regular basis. Now for the first time in 32 years of toiling this city is getting prepared to host its very first NFL playoff game. I cannot explain the excitement which is building for that day.

None of this would have occurred without that building. To me with all the waste of tax dollars throughout the country this was a perfect example of money well spent.

GO RAMS!!!!!!

GO GEORGIA!!!!!!

GO ST. LOUIS!!!!
