I was bored, so I decided to
post this. It's off the top of my head, so correct me if I err. 1973- Finished 12-2, lost to Dallas in Div playoff. 1974- Beat Washington in Div playoff, lost to Minnesota in Title game 1975- Beat St. Louis in Div Playoff, lost to Dallas AT HOME 37-7 in Title game. 1976-Beat Dallas in Div playoffs, Lost to Minnesota in Title game. Reputation as chokers is born. 1977-Lost to Minnesota at home in Div playoffs. Game is notable due to the fact the Rams talked all week about playing the Vikes in good weather. It monsooned on game day. Chuck Knox is fired. 1978- Ray Malavasi era begins. Rams smoke the Vikes in Div playoffs, lose to Dallas 28-0 to Hollywood Henderson-led Cowboys. 1979-Beat Dallas 21-19 in thriller in Div playoffs (Ferragamo to Waddy with 2 min left). Beat Bucs in Title game, 9-0. Lose to heavily favored Steelers, 31-19 in Super Bowl. 1980-Wild Card qualifier. Loses to Dallas in WC game, 34-14. 1981-1982. Out of playoffs. 1983- Robinson era begins.9-7 Wildcard qualifier. Beats Dallas in WC game. Smoked by Redskins, 51-7 in "New Years Day Massacre." Loss just compounds Zod's massive hangover. 1984-Wild Card. Lost to Giants in Wild Card game. At home. 1985-Last Division winner before this year. Beat Dallas 23-0 in Division playoff, lost to Bears 24-0 in Title game. Robinson should have started Kemp in this one. 1986-Lost to Washington in Wild Card game. 1987-Out of playoffs. Strike year. Dickerson Traded for what turned out to be a bunch of stiffs. 1988-Lost Wild Card game to Minnesota. Following game, Zod almost dies in spa from combination of depression and too much alcohol. 1989-Beat Philly in Wilcard game, Giants in classic Div playoff game. Lose to Whiners in Title game. Oh, curse Ronnie Lott! Zod avoids spa, not alcohol. |
