The Rams allow fewer points and gain more points per game than the Panthers. They rush for more yards and allow fewer rushing yards than the Panthers. They pass for more yards and come close to allowing about the same number of passing yards as the Panthers. They make themselves look better in every single statistic (except for special teams yards) compared to the Panthers. Why will the Panthers win?

I only can look at the last game a few short weeks ago. The Rams defense bruised Beuerlein and made him give up the ball on interceptions and the like,  which gave them 14 free points and enough of a lead to get their momentum going. Had we not turned the ball over to them like that, it would have been a 14=14 game up until the fourth quarter when we started throwing 2nd stringers out there. Had the game been that close at the end, we would have been competing for the win, and would have had a completely different play outlook.

Can the O Line stop Buerelein's hurries and make a good game out of this?...I know they have the capability. Can the Panthers beat a good team? The true fans know the answer to that one already--- the fans saw Jacksonville barely catch up to us to beat by a couple of points in the fourth quarter, and saw Washington barely beat us because of a defensive secondary lapse of playing ability. It was another game lost by only a couple of points that we should have put away.

If the Rams take us lightly, we win, and if the Rams take us seriously and our O line holds and our defense secondary does it's job (now that's a long shot, but does happen every once in a while even against the best) we still could win or make it a really tough game. If the Panthers play another Panthers lost in the ozone game, we lose. Hell, we almost gave away the Atlanta game by the coach trying to run out the game clock with 8 minutes left in the fourth quarter. We had the momentum, were running and passing the ball down their throats, scoring every drive, but got conservative, and almost lost.

Just who will be the REAL PANTHERS?

I don't see how the Rams can lose the NFC West division. They are much too far ahead of the rest of us, and it's inconceivable to me that they would lose every remaining game. They have simply been too consistant, and keep winning...for a change. I'm sure their fans are proud of them.  So this game will be a good test of our players and coaches both. We should lose...or should we?!!

Every team has learned not to expect automatic wins from the Panthers, and if they haven't, we beat them, then they'll know next time. The Panthers are for REAL....Some of the time.

Hopefully we can keep doing better each week, and stop allowing the big pass plays to get through us. Our D line is stopping the run a lot better, but we need to keep getting to the QB. Our O has many weapons (that's a nice accomplishment)---now they just need to find out what works and when to use it. I think we are going to be a team to reckon with, I just don't think we are there yet...but we sure look a hell of a lot better than last year most of the time. GOOOOO PANTHERS!!!!!
