If you are not impressed with our Rams, to be honest with you, I (and all of the other Ram fans) could care less. The Rams have a dominant football team this season. We stomped all over the Niners, just like we did against the Ravens, Falcons, and Bengals. The Niners had no answers for  Bruce and company, that's NO ANSWERS!

Against the Falcons we scored 28 points in the first 27 minutes.  What happened against the Boys from the Bay? Well we scored 28 points in the first 27 minutes. Just like in the Atlanta game---all offensive touchdowns.  And remember we had the ball with 3 minutes left in the half, and the Niners scored their last touchdown on defense. If McDonald didn't get that sack, maybe it would have been 35 first half points. After that Vermeil started coaching not to lose, instead of to win, so we only  finished with 42 points!

The Niners great claim to fame has been their offensive system---you know,  it doesn't matter who the players are, Walsh the genius and his system will carry on. This was true for many years, I can't deny that, but that great organization and system line is just going to have to go to sleep now.  Compare that with the Rams. I know its hard for the doubters to swallow, but maybe our success has something to do with our new system and new coaching staff.

The sign of a good  system is plugging different players in and experiencing  similar success, right? Well, remember,  Mr. Warner is our backup QB.  I'm not saying that Trent Green would be having as much success as Warner---Kurt threw for 14 touchdowns in his first 4 starts, something which no human QB has achieved. (A truly amazing fact if you think about it....just    think about that for a second---14 TOUCHDOWNS in his first 4 NFL starts). But still, all this started back in the preseason. Trent Green diced up the first team Raider and Charger defenses as though they were stuck in wet cement. Green was 11 for 11 against the first team Chargers Defense, one of the best defenses in the NFL, before Rodney Harrison landed his cheap shot...11 for 11! He completed 28 of 32 passes for the entire preseason...numbers that sound very similar to Warner's.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that Green would have the same stats as  Warner, but I sure as hell would bet the Rams would be undefeated after beating your Niners with either Green or Warner under center.  That is because the Rams offensive system is impressive---not just the players, but the play calling and coaching. Every week a different player that is the star, along with Warner. Remember the last two games the Rams have had a different player score 4 touchdowns! Thats 4 touchdowns, while I don't even think the Niner team has scored yet this year in a single game. (Remember, they only scored 1 offensive TD against the Rams.)

Another thing to consider regarding this game, since I'm on the subject of plugging different players in, is the depth at RB. Did you notice Justin Watson in the second half? That's right,  our third string running back was called on, not to mention our second string fullback, and it didn't affect our offense at all---we didn't skip a beat.

Now some of the doubters might point out that they didn't have Steve Young behind the wheel.  Do you think it would really matter?  Does Steve Young play  cornerback? (He might do a better job than that little mini-me Darnell.)  Steve Young has thrown  3 TDs and 4 Ints this season, and has been eating turf for lunch on Sunday afternoons all season.

The football team I saw out there on the TWA turf chasing the Rams all over the field didn'tlook very impressive. The Niners didn't have a scoring drive after early in the second quarter---and their defense...I don't even think I have to say  anything. And how bout those Niner special teams...pathetic! And we gave up a TD to their defense, we turned the ball over twice, and were called for 6 or 7 penalties, while the Niners had maybe 3...And I don't know if anyone noticed (I'm  sure you Ram fans did!), but the Niner tackles held Carter and Wistrom all day, and weren't called for one holding call, not even one.

Everybody was saying that this game was a test, including me. Well RAM FANS we passed with flying  colors! We finally have a weak schedule, and we are going to win most every week (at least 12 wins)  provided we aren't decimated by injuries. You know it's kinda like the Niners used to be, we get to play NFC West teams 8 times, and the rest of our schedule appears to be pretty easy. So if you doubters want a valid excuse, blame it on the schedule, as you've done since day one.  That means the Rams are going to win the NFC West, mark my words, while the Niners are only getting into the playoffs via the wildcard, if they get in at all. I hope they do, and maybe we could have another dome party, like today!
