[Note: Rams fans are scattered all over the country, and even the world. Those fans who don't reside in Missourri or California often call themselves "The Nomads."- ZN]

THE WIN. Ouch, my back hurts....from everyone coming up to me at work and slapping me on the back to say "congrats." After 8 years of F/X trading on Wall St. (where the abuse can get pretty harsh ) and enduring  the constant taunts and abuse for being a Rams fan, this IS sweet ....and we all deserve to enjoy it. You can't buy loyalty , and people respect that.

It's rainy , warm and foggy in NYC ....but everything is  just fine from where I sit this morning .

Couple of  notes ....

* this team , what can I say ? They make you want to cheer for them---there are more "feel good" stories on this team than all the other 30 teams combined.

* Coach Vermeil....I think his players would kill for him. Normally  there's alot of love to go around when your team is winning ( and there has been tons of love flyin')...but what makes Dick Vermeil special is the love that he threw around when the team was down.

I'm  proud , I'm happy,  and I'm a Rams fan.

WHY DOES IT MATTER? Someone just walked up to my desk to say "Okay the Rams did well, but why are you so happy ? You don't gain anything, like money or personal fame from it . What's it to you??"

What's it to me.....??

This team , the Rams ...who I have followed since I was 7...? Just reading the 4 letters together (R-A-M-S) in any context makes me feel good .

The same team that I remember crying for in Dec '89 when John Taylor scored 2 touchdowns to cost them a division title . The same team whose jersey was the top thing on my X-mas list in '81 from Santa. The same team who my wife and I watch EVERY , EVERY , EVERY Sunday....one that has provided yet another thing that she and I have in common ( she wasn't a Rams fan before she became Mrs.Rams22 BTW)....

This team has just won thier division with a cast of players no one gave a chance to win anything.

This team is as much a part of my history and upbringing as the people I grew up with . I loved the Rams and they were my  friends as I grew up. THAT is why I'm happy!
