The national media still thinks of the Rams as SOSAR. One win over the Ravens is not going to change that. Just wait.

It's all about money. Follow the money and you can understand sports, politics, technology media, whatever. The Media/League, needs/creates/nurtures glamor teams (ie, teams that generate money). The league needs/creates/nurtures rivalries too. With that in mind, look at the NFC West. Falcons and 49ers are in tailspins (losers dont generate sales). The Saints are boring and still losing. Where will the media turn? They will embrace the Rams in a heartbeat when the timing is right. Just watch.

If the Rams offense turns out to be as exciting as most of us think it will be,  the media frenzy will come. The media completely ignored Green Bay until Favre came along. Now GB is a "glamor" team.

As for me, I like " being in the weeds." I can live just fine without the hype from the Natl. media. The gaze of the media-beast will be on the Rams soon enough---and then I will miss the days when only the diehards were talking Ram football. Because only the diehards really care about Ram football. The others are just filling the vacuum. Any team will do for them.
