[The "Media Notes" column does two things. First, it re-posts useful info fans have gathered from different media sources. But it also re-prints fans's *criticisms* (or praise) of media representations of the Rams- ZN.]

1. RAMS RADIO COVERAGE COMING TO SO. CAL? BY ANDY (Dec 4)

Great news for So Cal Rams Fans. Last week at Nationals Sports Gril' in Anaheim, I met this guy who runs the radio station 830 AM. He said that they just purchased the right to broadcast KSD radio's Rams coverage starting next season.  He also said something about sending fans from here to St. Louis to attend games---not sure about the details though.  Anyway, I just wanted to share this. -) Andy

2. ST. LOUIS MEDIA DROPPED THE BALL, BY MILLSEY (Dec 5)

As a member of the media in St. Louis I can't tell you how embarrassed I am about the poor local television coverage given the Rams after winning the NFC West title Sunday. KTVI (FOX2) in St. Louis brags about being the home of the Rams. Well,  the Rams must have felt like orphans Sunday. If the Cardinals had just won the National League Central Division title there would have been all kinds of live post-game coverage of the team in the lockerroom and so forth. NOT ONE  local St. Louis television station provided ANY live  coverage immediately after the game. That was pathetic...

Hey Rams, we love having you here and you deserved a whole lot more than you received. I'm sorry you were treated so poorly after  you have provided so much for us this season.

3. TODD LYGHT ON JIM ROME, BY ZOOEY (Dec 4)

I was in my car all morning yesterday [Dec 3rd], and so I listened to the Rome show. He was going to interview Holt, but something happened and he got Lyght instead. Lyght was very upbeat (well, I guess after 9 losing seasons to find yourself the toast of the NFL must be nice).

Rome asked about Warner. Lyght credits----$%&$# WARNING,  Vermeil haters read no further,  *&^%$ WARNING---....Lyght credits Vermeil with rallying the Rams around Warner after Green went down. Losing Green was a big blow to the Rams after the preseason had gone so well, and everyone was despondent, but DV pulled the team together and refocused them on the season ahead.

4. TIMMERMAN & WARNER ON ESPN RADIO, BY RAM FAN IN PIT
(Dec 4)

I listened to Adam and Kurt today [Dec 4] on ESPN radio. It was an interview done by Dick Schapp. It was excellent! Timmerman was comparing this team to the Packers. Schapp asked him if Warner reminded him of Farve. Adam said "one thing that makes them different is we (the "O" line) know were Kurt is going to be, with Brett you were never really sure"...to which Schapp added "before OR after the game with Farve."  Kurt talked about his relationship with Mariucci, how Steve was happy he finally got his chance. How he learned from being around Farve, Brunnell, and Detmer that he COULD play at this level.

Schapp conlued by asking Kurt if he had and special plans for his O-line like taking them out to dinner. He said "with the money Adam's making, he should take me out." To which Timmerman added "We WILL!" It was a GREAT interview.
