1. FROM RANDY KARRAKER (Nov 20)

Kudos to all that work on the Zine, especially ZN and Ramsrule. Great looking, informative, fun. [Sorry I couldn't help it I had to leave that in! -:) zn.]

Got my Herd T-Shirt this week. It's very sharp, and will be worn tomorrow during the game...

Veteran move by the Rams, setting up that Hyder injury then IRing him. I thought Barnes would get that treatment, but Hyder is fine...

Lyle insists he'll be back before four weeks. In fact, he thinks he can go vs. New Orleans...

Speaking of New Orleans, I was just searching for tailgating recipes for next week. Going with the usuals...gumbo, jambalaya, crabcakes and beignets...

Even Vermeil is kind of down on Phillips now. He said "at some point, he's got to learn playing in the NFL is a privelege, not a right." But, Vermeil still thinks he can play. Armey doesn't.

If you get a chance to watch a RB named Jones at Virginia, scouts say he has a lot of Marshall in him. He must be exciting to watch. Obviously, I haven't seen him...

It's fine if they clinch the division in Carolina, but I hope they clinch home field in St. Louis...

2. BUSCHBAUM ON KMOX, BY RAMTS (Nov 23)

I caught some of Randy Karraker's call in program with Joel Buschbaum last night. With respect to the Rams, he had the following observations: --->

* The Rams O line dominated the Niners (particularly Orlando Pace). Said Orlando is finally playing up to his hype---likely Pro Bowl.

* He felt the offense struggled a bit because of Kurt Warner. Warner locked onto Bruce too much and telegraphed passes to him.

* For the Rams to be successful in the playoffs (and beyond), Warner needs to go to Torry Holt more. Holt has been neglected the past few games.

On the defensive side: --->

* Buschbaum noted that the D line has been playing great. Carter is a likely Pro bowler. Agnew is steady and consistent, which balances DMarco Farr's aggresive playmaking style. Wistrom is really coming on to solidify the right side.

* DBs. He thinks the Rams should keep Todd Lyght. In order to be successful in this league, a team really needs 3 or 4 starting corners. McCleon has had his struggles, and Bly is still young. We would be losing a solid starter in what is already our weakest area.

* Devin Bush. Joel said he played a good game and could push Billy Jenkins for the other safety spot when Lyle comes back.

These are the primary comments that I remember hearing. Of course, he also mentioned that the Rams need to remain healthy (so does every other team). It still isn't sinking in that the Rams are playoff bound. Go Rams!
