I've read some comments about trying to get a running game going against the 9rs. I couldn't disagree more. Running against the 9rs is exactly what they want the Rams to do. They HOPE they will try to establish the run. They love to stay at home and punish the runner. They HATE to go out in pass coverage. I've seen every game the 9rs have played this year, and NO TEAM they have played against has better receivers than the Rams. They are going to get TOASTED, ROASTED, AND BAKED by the Rams speed.

The Rams should PASS, PASS, and PASS. If they don't pass 40+ times in this game, I'll be surprised and dissapointed. Every once in a while, draw it to Faulk, screen to Faulk, or slip it Holcombe, but I mean every once in a RARE while. And I really think that's what Martz will do. DV wouldn't. But Martz will. That's why we will win.

As for the 9rs pass rush, what pass rush? Haley? Forget about it. Pace is going to eat him for lunch. I respect Bryant Young, but he's not the same Bryant Young. Who else is there? The Rams have graded A, A, A in offensive line pass protection these past 3 games. I see no differently against the whiners. They want to come with their linebackers? If so, they are going to be taking some huge chances against game breakers of the Rams.

As for the 9rs on offense, I like one match up in particular for the Rams. I would put Todd Lyght on Owens, one on one, most of the day. That's their main guy. Same with McCleon on Stokes. I think Lyght matches up well with Owens because of his size. As for Stokes, I've never seen him win a game yet. He is totally OVERATED. If they play 3 wide receivers, put Allen on Stokes. They are going to play the dink game, with all three wide receivers. But the thing about the 9rs is that have difficulty going long. First, because they don't have much speed, second because the O line can't give protection. I think the Rams will do fine on D.

On special teams, Gansz better get out his bullhorn again, because our special teams coverage looks CRAPPY. The 9rs have better coaching in this area than the Rams in my opinion. They don't, however, have the OZ man. Sure hope that we can get some Rams to suck it up and block for him.
