A WEEKEND I'LL NEVER FORGET

THE PARTY. The thing about this road trip to SF that made it all worth while was my friends and fellow Rams fans.

For my saturday night party crew of ValleyRam, Rampage Y2k, KRam and my  buddy Jim Shilo it was a great night. A funny night too. Listening to some really lousy comedians at this little bar in a suburb of SF just down the 101 and playing pool and doing shooters and just talking about the upcoming game and the season thus far. Meeting KRam at the Weston Hotel we all met down in the lobby area and had a wild time meeting Jack Snow, Kurt Warner, Kevin Carter, D'Marco Farr, Todd Hewitt and many others. Kurt Warner is the nicest person you ever want to meet.

I walked up to Kurt and I said "Mr.Warner" and he looked at me with this big smile and stuck out his hand and we shookhands (and this guy doesn't know who I am). I introduced myself by my real name and told him that I had read the article about the fan who chased him out to his car after the Carolina game for an autograph. We both just laughed about it and he said he held no animosity towards that guy or any other fans seeking autographs. I wished him well and let him be on his way for whatever the evening held in store for him. One thing you pick up from Kurt or at least my initial impression is---what a nice person! and a down to earth man.

It was a great night. It was a wonderful Sunday. The joy I saw in the faces of all the Rams fans I met! Some from Oregon, outdoors types who lived in SoCal (Orange County) at one time but now live in Oregon...and just to see the anticpation  in their faces. This one little guy, probably about my age (late 30s or early 40s) had his     face painted with two blue and gold warpaint stripes down his face. You could just see it in his eyes---the happiness, the final realization after all these years of bull he had to endure from arrogant whiner fans that Sunday was his day.

The 49ers Miller Lite poster that two unidentified pair of hooligans had obsconded with from some local establishment was laid out on the asphalt surface of the parking lot and endured stomping feet and beer being poured on it from a large contingent of Rams fans. Laying that same poster in the middle of the drive lane and having disgruntled 49er fans looking for a parking spot have to run over it  even though they didn't want to....

Even the 49ers jazz band which travels around the stadium and parking lot playing  gigs for everyone came over to our huge contingent and laid down some really  sweet notes. Including some St.Louis blues.... They even allowed us to cover their  49ers clothes with Rams parkas and jackets while they played for us.

THE GAME. I see the Rams 14-2.  They will run the table.

The Rams offense did  not play it's "A" game yesterday and still won easily because the defense just dominated. This is so unbelievably great because the defense appears to be getting stronger. Seven sacks yesterday and they did it so quietly, so, matter of factly, that you really didn't notice until you read the stats. In fact, the Rams defensive line dominated the Whiners O-line even more so then in the game in St. Louis.

Remember the Rams allowed 13 points to the Whiners in the Rams 42-20 win in October, but today, only one score. Uno. And Nada after that.

Terrell Owens is nothing without Steve Young throwing him the ball. T.Owens wasn't even a factor in the game except for that wonderful gift of that fumble he coughed up after the pass in the first quarter. Thanky Terrell, You Jerk!

Unbelievable some of the comments from the Whiner faithful at the game yesterday. "Well after beating your brains in for 19 years I guess you deserve one year." Geez, look you idiots, you didn't beat our brains in for 19 years. The Rams actually won the NFC West in 1985! The Rams last victory over the Whiners was 1990 so that is hardly 19 years ago.

I wish we could play these turds every week. God, this win was so easy.

THE PEOPLE. It was a great weekend and I met a lot of good friends and to those of you I met, I'm sorry I don't remember all you names, but I'll never forget the faces. Some faces I  will remember for a long time, I know. So to you
