When I first arrived in St. Louis, I went to Planet Hollywood first thing, and then I realized we didn't have a rock solid way to identify other Herd members....I looked around for Hacker & RFL to no avail....

Bummer!!

But then out of the blue, who did I see but Ramsgap, the same guy I ran into at Champaign at the Rams/Colts scrimmage...cool!! We looked around PH for Hacker & RFL, again no luck! Damn!!!

So we went out to the tailgating area, checking things out... then I saw it. A box of Warner CrunchTime Cereal on someone's table. I thought, that's how I'll recognize Old Hacker---he's bringing me a box of Warner's cereal. So back to PH I went, and the 1st thing I saw was a guy carrying a box of the very same cereal. "Hacker?" I asked, and he said "yep!" Mission 1 accomplished.

All the time we were talking Howard Balzer's pregame radio was being broadcast from there...I heard him talking to some of the people there on the air. We hollered out "HERD!" He started asking who was in the Herd. I turned around & showed him the Herd shirt I was wearing, and he said "There's a member! Where ya from?" I said "the RamsBoard." He said "where's that at, Herd.com?" I turned the shirt around to show the URL. He said "rams.rivals.com? oooops,I can't say rivals.com on the air---oh what the heck, visit the Herd on the RamsBoard at Rivals.com." This really put a big smile on my face!

I thought it was pretty much over & the show producer (I think that's who it was) saw the box of Warner cereal Hacker had gave me. He said Can I see that for a minute?" I looked at him like "NO WAY." He said "I'll bring it back,I promise." So I let him...he took it up to Balzer,& he started talking about CrunchTime on the air! (Cool,eh?)

All the time he was talking about the Herd,a guy moved up near, someone I'd walked by at least 3 or 4 times. Guess who? RFL! After exchanging introductions & high fives, we went over & met Randy Karraker at his tailgate spot... left there, got some pics together, went to the dome...watched Hack spread his traditional Sage in the endzone... We shot the bull for a while then went to find our seats...

How could the game top all that?

It did! A great game! All in all, a GREAT Day!

BTW, Old Hacker will have some pics of us soon to post.
