Chad has been cut to make room for Ernie.

My eternal regret here is that the Rams never really gave the kid a chance. After a great scrimmage against the Colts and a terrific pregame against the Raiders, they just stopped using him. It's a mystery why they cut Derrick Harris after the first game to resign Chad and then never gave him the opportunity to show what he can do.

Chad is a big (250 lbs now) straight ahead back in the mold of Eddie George, Bettis, and  Alstot, but with 4.5 speed. He had offers in January to sign with other teams, but his agent  felt St. Louis offered the best opportunity.

I personally have really enjoyed watching the success of the Rams and will continue to root for them...but why they refused togive him a chance to play will forever be a mystery. Vermeil and Montgomery really liked him, but Martz and Gantz ignored him. My heart goes out to Chad, there is still a lot football inside him, but this season may be a washout. I pray you'll be hearing more about him someday.
