I live in NYC.  All I hear is that the Giants will win because the Rams can't beat a winning team. The interesting thing is if these same people would say the same thing if the Giants tied the Bills and thus had a .500 record? Just curious.

Toomer only caught 3 balls for 35 yards and Collins only completed 52% of his passes or 5.4 yards/pass. Maybe I am missing something, but that is not that impressive. I would like to see how Collins handles adversity in a game. The last drive against Buffalo was impressive though.

The Giants would be a lot better with a good running back. Without that, their offense does not scare me as I do not see them running on us. Right now their running game is not that good. Even in the Jets game it took Montgomery 38 carries to get 111 yards (2.9 yards/carry). Not great or even good.  Thus  Collins is going to have to win the game by himself.

I will guarantee you that the Giants offense will not score 20 points. The Panthers offesne is far far better than the Giants and they only averaged 15.5 points against us.

As far as their defense, well they do have some talent, but their secondary is really banged up. The game against the Bills have given them false hope. A friend of mine went to the Bills/Giants game last week and told me that Bill WRs were running free all game and that Flutie had a bad game and could not throw the ball accurately. He was rarely pressured, he just had a bad game. If the Bills WRs were getting that open, I can't wait to see the Warner Bros against them. Also, Warner will not miss them (maybe once). Their MLB is also out and thus the Rams may have a good game running the ball as well.

Strahan and Miller is the one match-up that does worry me. If he can beat Miller conssitently, Warner will not be able to get the ball down field. I am heartened though by the improved play of Miller lately. But I do feel that this is one of the most important match-ups.

Finally, all I am saying is that the Giants will not be a litmus test for us, win or lose. If we win, it is just another bad team. If we lose, then we lost against an average team at best. We will not be challenged until the playoffs no matter how much we want to see a tough game. The 2nd Carolina game was a far better litmus test than this one. It was aginst a better team on the road with postseason and division title implications on the line for both teams.

Will the Rams gain over 490 yards for a 3rd straight week? Probably not, but they will approach 400 and score about 30 points

It does not matter if we the fans take them lightly, because the Ram players won't. This is their last chance before the playoffs to make a statement and I really think that they are tired of this "schedule" talk as much as we are and thus they will make a statement.

I have a strong feeling about this game. The Giants defensive front 7 is one of the best in the game, but their secondary is banged up and that does not bode well for them against the Rams. I just do not see the Rams losing. The Giants will only be another little speed bump on the way to the playoffs.
