WARNER  & THE DETROIT GAME: I thought the best thing was that Warner did not seem to either panic or get too down when he was plagued by the drops at the start of the game. He put some passes on a nice line and threw the timing routes very well. I liked his footwork somewhat better tonight and felt that his release was better.

Before tonight I thought it was only a matter of time before Paul Justin was the starter...not so sure now. Justin does run very well.

JUSTIN. Earlier in the summer, Martz apparently did all the leg work and most of the paper work to get Justin signed and then Vermeil stepped in and stopped it...Vermeil did not feel that they would have kept Paul if Green had not been hurt. It's actually hard to argue with that.

BLY: I don't  see how they can keep Dre off the field....it is night and day between his skills and Taje's.

HILL TRADE. I think everyone should consider just what it is that Greg Hill has done in the NFL....he is/was hurt last year and this camp. He was for whatever reason never able to start in KC....and last year he lasted on the free agent market until August with hardly a nibble. The league outside of St. Louis does not value him as highly as we do/did.

FAs:  It is not Patton. I am hoping for a DE/DT,  but I do know/heard that they are going to be looking at the cut lists actively for once instead of just letting it pass them by.

LEE: I have no knowledge of this but I would not be surprised if Amp Lee gets an injury settlement and is cut. They still need a DT and a DE according to my eyes and there is not much room to get Amp Lee on the field.

CAP ISSUES: Why  don't the Rams ever restructure any contracts like most teams do to gain cap  space?  The Rams are against guaranteeing a years salary...which in effect makes it a pro rated bonus payment. They feel not doing so gives them more flexibilty down the road.

I think you adapt to the situation. If it were me playing computer football I would guarantee Green's salary for this year and use the extra cap room to sign a DT or DE or both after the final cuts.

You get in trouble when year after year you routinely restructure 4-5 players to make room to sign more free agents that have to then be restructured themselves in the next year.

FADLER'S FANTASY TEAM: I have applied for an NFL expansion franchise to Columbia Missouri. On my team we will have starting WR's JT Thomas and Todd Kinchen...kick returner will Jermaine Ross.

The starting Tight End will be Lovell Pinkney and the starting QB will be Tony Banks.

My offensive coordinator will be Dieter Brock and the head coach will Harland Svare (don't bother me with useless trivia my answer will be that it does not matter with this team)

The guards will  be Dwayne White and Jesse James (oh the size of this humanity) and the nose guard will of course be....Little Jon Kirksey.

The Columbia Canines...."we did not just go to the dogs, we are the dogs."
