Well, I wasn't at the game, but I can tell you that I've watched every Rams game on TV since they moved to St. Louis, and I've ALWAYS kept an eye on the crowd, because as a fan from the LA days, I've wondered and worried about the team's relationship with the fans in their new home.

This Sunday, it was PLAINLY obvious to me that the fans there were as into this game as I have EVER seen them be.

I remember seeing several shots of the crowd---and it was clear that the place was *pumped*.

When I watched that packed house give the team a standing ovation at the end of the first half---even though there was no sound on the TV and I was in a packed sports bar right next to a Jets fan screaming about Vinny Testeverde---I swear it almost brought a tear to my eye.

That is how it *should* be---for both the team AND the fans.

This team and these fans *deserve* a great season.
