Scotty weighs in on the FOD: Actually its much too early to make such a determination but at this point there is no doubt it could happen. I think DV was coach of the year twice with the Eagles. Some members of the media and certain fans are desperately trying to deflect credit for this possible turn-around away from DV. It must be Armey or Martz. Maybe Shaw and Zygmut suddenly became brilliant football minds. Anything but giving credit to the fella who has most likely delivered us from a decade of hideous football and aimless decision making. You must not give the man credit because you have been screaming for the man's removal for a year. DV has been the object of snide remarks from the media since his hiring. He told us all what would happen: He said he would make the roster his own. Players who would not buy into his program would be weeded out. Only 8 remain a part of the current team. He has worked within the salary cap which makes turning a roster over in two years difficult. He was forced to work with some players already on the roster that eventually failed(LP,Eddie,Tony). He and his staff have scouted for talent everywhere and have drafted 3 solid classes. Pace, McCleon, Allen, Wistrom, Holcomb, Williams, Tucker, Hakim, Holt, Bly, Germaine, Spikes, Barnes and Cody are a decent core of young players. They have also done a great job of signing street free-agents, both rookies and relatively cheap young vets. Fletcher, Nutten, Jenkins, Watson, Warner, C. Lewis, Clemmons, Styles, Horne, Levitt, W. Jones and Hodgins are contributers. Free agency has added some quality vets Faulk(trade), T. Green, Timmerman, Proehl, T. Collins, M. Jones, D. Bush, Agnew and A. Lee. I'm sure I left out names but this staff has really accumulated some talent yet the man in charge gets no credit. Well let me tell you something about this city, this region. If we win DV will be honored and revered. This town has never hosted a NFL playoff game and never won one. If he wins he can stay as long as he desires and he will be loved after he leaves.
