The most inspiration I
have ever felt watching a Ram game was in '89 right after Willie Anderson scored the game
winning touchdown against the Giants and raced off the field up the tunnel. There was a camera on some of the Rams as they made their way up the tunnel, and I think it was Jeter that let out a "THATS RIGHT! THATS RIGHT!" cry right into the camera. It was great seeing our guys shock the stunned crowd at Giant stadium. The Rams came away with a victory that day when they were supposed to be destroyed, and those words just stuck in my head to this day. Why? Because all the know it all "experts" had predicted the Rams would lose that game, just like any game that had meaning for our team, but the Rams had proved them wrong. Jeter summed it up for everyone---"THATS RIGHT! (WE won and you lost!!)." The Rams had earned some respect that day!! Go Rams!! |
