The Fall: An Interplanetary Military Alliance StoryThe Fall was first started late in the summer of 2005 and represented the first time that I had started a story of this magnitude. The first draft eventually reached in excess of 100,000 words, before the project was scrapped, for I did not want to continue at that point. I recently decided to start the process of rewriting it. As it stands, the current five-and-a-half chapter contains approximately 29,000 words, while the twenty-four-chapter long original draft had merely 105,000 words. I believe that this is because of extra description which makes the story easier to follow. Description - The Fall is a story written about a starfighter pilot in the fictional military organisation named the Interplanetary Military Alliance, often known as the IMA or the Alliance. After a failed mission and a crash-landing on the surface of a planet, only to be imprisoned, Frank finds himself in a situation which could change his circumstances of living forever.
