Maybe I'm a Moon
I am the moon
up in the sky
that no one remembers.
A moon is looked up to
its light is displayed
while the cark is pushed away
into far reaches wehre it can hide.
No one cares;
they only saw beauty in light.
I am a moon,
a solitary creature.
The stars above are
pinpricks of light, pinching me.
Continually they remind and tease me
of the side I cannot show the Others.
I regularly turn myself over to the dark,
contemplating how it will end.
Perhaps, like the moon,
I simply need to be.
Be, and the tide will turn.
Maybe spectactular is for the sun
and I am content because
I am the moon.

I thought you were
everything I wasn't:
your journey not over,
still twice the distance I'd traveled.
Finding you here,
I thought I'd passed you,
but in this weakness
you only proved yourself
far greater than I.
Letting the One take control;
realizing your debility;
taking control simply by letting go.
And I, I had reminded you!
I was one spark of many
that let you free.
Seeing you fly away
I am only reminded
of my hipocracy.
Feeling the same deesires
but having half the strength.
You say I am superior,
but may I have the humility
to listen and follow your example.

This box is getting smaller
as my fear turns to pain.
Starlit Skies
Starlit skies
in the back of my mind
were hidden by ignorance.
I chose to forget this cloud
thinking "if I cannot see the stars,
I won't remember they are there."
Foolish child.
I got lost in the cloud
which no stars could breech
for guidence.
I let go of the rope and fell.
The cloud moved away
when I let of the ribbon binding it.
And I remembered.
