Long time no entry. Sorry about that. Life has changed drastically since November. I was laid off work from Stream in February. Which has actually been rather nice. Gives me more time to spend with Quinn. I switched roommates and then moved out of the apartment enirely. Just finished up with the Earth Activist Training last Saturday. It was an utterly life transforming event. My new goal in life is to immerse myself in permaculture and "re re reeee-store the land!"
So the combination of spending two weeks in the rural hills of coastal California, learning transformative stuff, meeting inspiring people, having money in the bank, seeing how happy Quinn and his Cali family are to be spending time together all has led me to the decision to move down here for a time and continue my studies. I was really impressed with Sonoma county; the beauty of the land, the progressiveness of the people and the resources there for someone to continue studying permaculture has all convinced me that I really need to spend some more time there. I'm not thinking a permanant move but just long enough to feel confident in my knowledge and ability to effectively bring it back to Portland.
