| Kreuzenstein near Poysdorf (recommended by Lisa's sister) Aggstein Castle Ruins (Wachau) A very well maintained castle ruins (oxymoron?!?!) with a breathtaking view of the Danube in the middle of the Wachau. It takes about an hour to walk up, but for the lazy at heart it is also possible to drive all the way up. Food and drink is available inside of the castle. Mystery Burg (Near Maria Schutz) Can be seen (on the right side) when dirving over the tall bridge towards Semmering. Looks like a ruin. Driven by a hundred time and everytime I think to myself, "I am going to go there someday!". Well, it happenened. I finally visited the castle (damn... forgot the name!) and even my built up expectations were easily met. If you crawl around the outside wall to the back, you are rewarded with a breathtaking view of the complete valley below. Just don't look off the edge of the cliff if you are afraid of heights. Its a doosy! Krimmler F�lle National Park Hohe Tauern Gro�venediger National Park Hohe Tauern Gro�glockner Tallest moutain in Austria (3798m). It is possible to take the toll alping road (Gro�glocknerstrasse)to an elevation of 2500m and get very close to the summit (Kaiser Franz Josef H�he). From there you can clearly see, if not hidden by clouds, the peak as well as a big glacier below. It is also an experience spending the night at 2200m... clear air and bright stars! Boat trip on the Danube DDSG Info at 588 80 Shopping trip to Bratislava The new Polus City is supposed to be worth seeing. According to the lovely lady who built it;-) Hiking in Styria a map of hiking paths close to my parents Bike trip along the Danube from Passau to Hainburg (305 km). Schl�gener Schlinge An impressive serpentine section of the Danube near Sch�gen, east of Linz. Other sites nearby: Stift Wilhering, Aschback, Engelhardszell. Neusiedlersee - Purbach (Restaurant Nikolauszeche) - Rust - M�rbisch Burg Forchtenstein near Mattersburg, Burgenland. Largest old weapons collection in Austria. Schlo� Obermayerhofen near Seibersdorf in Styria is a great place for a romantic weekend. I was just there for a company seminar on the psycholoy of behavior, but still enjoyed the gorgeous neo-baroque rooms and the beautifull surrounding forrest. B�rensch�tzklamm Ein wundersch�ner Wanderweg �ber Treppen und zwischen Kluften. Bei Mixnitz in der Steiermark Lichtensteinklamm St. Johann a.d. Pongau. This gorge is also quite breathtaking and easier to wander along (30 minutes to reach the treasure at the end of the path) then the B�rensch�tzklamm. In the Big City...
