.BeginningS.
It all started when I went to the library on the 24th Nov '04. I read two books while I was there and browsed through a few others. Namely, some book on the origins and explanation on Buddhism and Who moved my cheese for teens (cos I only found this, couldn't find the original copy). Though the Buddhism book was short, I learnt a great damn deal on MY religion. Surprisingly, people don't really go and find out these things. It's like we just take it for granted or accept that it's there. Are you a Buddhist? Do you even know why you are one? Or how it came about? Do you know why you should even pray? Ah-hah! *point* There was another one I browsed through on how do things happen. There are stuff like how does the magician pull the rabbit out of the hat, which is quite simple really...(tsk tsk) and some others which I forgot.. shit. Anyway, the library is my new fav hangout. It's really cool if you think of it this way: books are the pathway to knowledge and then ultimate enlightenment. So to get on the path, you gotta start at the library first lar. Get on that little yellow brick road that leads you to the wizard of Oz at your very own emerald city. ~ |

THE QUEST FOR KNOWLEDGE |
||
So anyway, the whole point is, a wave hit me that day and the philosophical side of me was unleashed. I decided to work on this website where I can express my thoughts on what I think is interesting. I came up with some stuff that I have thought of before, but never really penned them down and added them to my content. Ok, I know I'm so not a writer person, but try lar. Maybe one day I will be proud of my work here. Shouldn't be too hard I think. And anyway, I've got a boyfriend who always springs questions from me out of nowhere, should be able to add to some of the interesting stuff that I've always thought about. So, I made this an interesting holiday project for myself. Some of the initial topics that came to mind was: ancient Greek gods (something that's intrigued me since very young, question mark also. ??? ), psychics (ESP) and witchcraft, Utopia, magic, Buddhism (officially intrigued by my very own religion as of 24th Nov), the quest for knowledge, horoscopes, relationships, men and women and marriage, sexuality, the theory on energy, pacifism, perception of beauty, pop culture.. etc. Think I might add on stuff as I go along. |
