This me shortly before I left Bosnia. It was taken by the door of our tent. It was known as the "Bear Suit Club". It is in honor of the brown fleece jackets and pants that are part of the US Army's Extreme Cold Weather System. One night, the guys in my tent, officially listed as "officer tent #1" had a party. And they decide to wear only the brown fleece to the party. From then on, the tent became known as the "Bear Suit Club".
Its hard to read, but because I was one of four male officers to have lived in the "Bear Suit Club", I was named a Senior member of the "Club" I live in that tent from when we arrived in Oct 1996 to March 1997, when LT Eric Drynan and I were kicked out to make room for the incoming officers. When we originally moved in, there were 11 or 12 officers all living in one GP Medium Tent. Thats alot of people with lots of stuff....

Both of these pictures are taken from my back door. One is just straigh out and the other is pan right. (Note same hill in background)
This picture was taken out the front door, straight. We were located in the back corner of the compound and right next to the outside storage area for the Class 9 (repair parts) werehouse. It was also a secondary motor park until the compound was enlarged to make more parking (motor park).
