War
Sad, cold
Fighting, conquering, dying
Losing your friends
War
We study wars in history.
They seem a part of life.
We study death and vict'ry, yet
We do not feel the strife.
Till one day men in charge decide,
"It's time to make a war,"
And tell us what the reasons are
That men are fighting for.
Then we know that war is wrong,
That we should not cause death,
That war is not how men should draw
A last a fleeting breath.
For violence, it is never right,
No matter what the reason,
And Peace should fill our lovely land,
No matter what the season.
