People sometimes write me and ask me if I have other poems, or if I can write them a poem to send to someone to convey how they feel. First, I don't have any additional poems to share besides those on my website. Also, I can't write a poem for you. I don't write like that. My suggestion? Hallmark. Or a card from the company of your choice. Those folks are in the business of coming up with stuff for us to say to each other, and they do a good job of it. And that's what I use.
I don't do advice on personal matters either. I mean, I can try, but I'm really not very good at it. Having the ability to capture my feelings in a poem does not mean I have answers to how a person should live their life. Even my own. Listening I can do. Knowing what to say in response is a bit harder.
