Enrollment/Dis-Enrollment

Enrollment:                                                                                         -To be eligible for enrollment for enrollment and continuance in the JROTC program, the following requirements must be met:

  • Citizen of the United States 

  • At least 14 years of age

  • Formally enrolled as a student in the high school

  • Physically qualified: Parent or guardian must complete and sign the "Statement of Health" form and return it to the Senior Army Instructor

  • Morally qualified: Possess honesty, integrity, self-reliance and sense of responsibility.  Must not have any conviction by a civil court (other than a minor traffic violation).

  • Maintain an acceptable standard of academic achievement

  • Accepted for enrollment or continuance by the Senior Army Instructor and approved by the school principal

Dis-enrollment:                                                                                                        -Normally, cadets will be dis-enrolled, as determined by the Senior Army Instructor and with the concurrence of the principal, when the following occurs:

  • Withdraws from school

  • Demonstrates an inaptitude for leadership development

  • Fails to maintain an acceptable academic achievement

  • Shows undesirable traits of character

  • Frequent absences

  • Physically unfit

  • Other reasons as determined by the Senior Army Instructor
