Located near the scenic McKenzie pass highway, this heavily glaciated rock spire rises to 7,794 feet elevation. The remaining black basalt plug offers at least twenty rock climbing routes with ratings up to II-5.10C. The closest access to the mountain gained from back roads near Hoodoo ski area along Hwy. 126/20 which runs from Eugene/Salem to the west and Bend/Redmond to the east.
