Who Needs Britain? I'm an American!
A time of war was eminent; the colonists could almost smell the stench in the air. They were hungry for their opportunity to fight for their freedom and no one was going to stop them. It was this urge and constant force of the Americans that frightened the British crown and its' troops. Even though the British army was the most powerful army in the civilized world to date in the mid 1700's, it is still puzzling why they lost this war of independence to the untrained farmers who fought with such zeal. The fact that the colonists were fighting on their homeland, for their freedom, had basically nothing to lose, and home-field advantage is what gave them their zealous nature and along with many other factors aided them in their victory over a confused and broke Britain.

In the first page of my web-site I would like to demonstrate the financial status of Britain, and how weak they were at that time. I will do so by stating some facts about the Seven Years War which they had recently fought and how they drained their resources to fight it. I will also show how by this point the colonists were already being angered by harsh treatment of their people by the British government.
In the second page of my web-site I would like to demonstrate the need for action by the colonists and how they would use unorthodox tactics to fight the British. They also were able to use the fact of homefield advantage in this war. In the battles that I will demonstrate the colonists were outnumbered in almost every battle. However, it was their knowledge of th terrain as well as their tactics that helped them defeat the British and gain their independence.
In the third page of my web-site I would like to demonstrate the heart and motivation of the colonists. They were fighting this war not for political or other artificial reasons, they were fighting this war to gain their freedom. I will demonstrate that the British troops aggrevated the colonists and caused them to fight for their freedom.
