Okay, no cheesy music for this page, because I want you to concentrate purely on yours truly...

How it all started: It was a hot, steamy night, and my mom thought my dad looked hot in his Hawaiian hot pants, so she ripped them off... ew, glad I wasn't around for the whole story! Anyway, all's well that ends well, and well, I was born. Always the follower, my sister popped out 8 minutes later. It's too bad she couldn't join me in Goddessland, but eh, not everyone can be a goddess, I guess!

After that: I had a relatively normal childhood, save the general feelings of superiority I had, but what can you expect from someone as wonderful as me? Okay, okay, seriously, I had it made as a kid: a swimming pool, two automatic partners in crime (my parents spit out a boy 3 years after me and my sister were born), and two sets of grandparents that lived to spoil us kids. Who could ask for more than that??

Trouble in paradise: A few days before school got out at the end of 6th grade, it became evident that my parents could no longer be in a relationship together. (This one gets a separate paragraph because I think this has shaped me more than any other single event in my life, thus far.) Though it was a difficult time for our whole family, it worked out for the best. My parents are both happier people, and the situation gave me a chance to turn into a stronger person (and to aquire this irresistable sense of humor that I have been blessed with!).

Moving on: This paragraph is because I had to mention high school in here somewhere. High school was, well, interesting. I learned a lot, but not necessarily from the books I studied--more because of the people I studied. I was in Peer Communications for two years, and that was awesome. That, along with an abnormal psych class I took, sparked my interest in becoming a psychologist. (I'll update you in a few years on how that turns out.) Something should be said about my english classes as well, because I learned a great deal my senior year in english--I already knew how to spell and write, but that class pushed me to do my best, and the teacher inspired me more than perhaps anyone I have ever met.

Today: After several failed attempts (you guys know who you are, and hopefully you're not reading my page anyway, 'cause it's MINE) I finally met a guy on here that was worthy. Guys like that don't come easy, so I packed a suitcase and a duffel bag and caught a flight out of San Luis Obispo, California. My destination? Toledo, Ohio. I have lived here for almost a year now (moved in September of 2001). I miss my friends, my family, and even my job a lot, but I have come to realize that most of life is a trade-off, and I think the ultimate goal is to get to a point in your life where you either have everything that you want, or you accept that you'll never have everything you want (dead relatives, for example) but that life is pretty damn good, anyway. 1
