Happy Ekka!

Until recently, I worked in a financial planning practice and among my many interests are money, words and China
(though not always in that order).
Ekka is short for Exhibition and is the colloquial name used by people in Brisbane for the agricultural show (or exhibition) that runs in Brisbane each year for 10 days in August.
The Ekka is increasingly known as The Show and is associated with sample bags (increasingly known as 'show bags') and the August winter westerlies.
