Safety update May 5 |
| Four new members of the safety were elected and they are Rod Harrington(Quarry) Nathan Betz (Laborer) Todd Crowell (Oiler) Britt Lewis (Pup) We had a MSHA inspector at the plant for 2 weeks and he issued the company 36 citations, 4 were s&s.The worst was an undercut bench at the Silica Quarry, dug at the request of the Quarry foreman.Shortly after this our Safety coordinator was released, we must always keep in mind that safety is everyone's job so watch the backs of your brothers and sisters in the field. We also had a lost time accident, a brother had surgery on his knee and should be back to work in a few weeks. |
