Extra Credit:

You can earn 2 points extra credit - all you have to do is answer three questions.
. . . well . . . There's a bit more to it - Follow these three steps:

  1. You have to use "CampusCruiser" e-mail under YOUR log-in.

  2. You have to send your answer to MY "CampusCruiser" e-mail address.

  3. A.) How many Computer Manufacturers are listed in the “expandable/collapsible” list [under the appropriate category]?

B.) What Computer/Technology based AM radio program airs on Saturday morning [in the LA metropolitan area - which we can receive here in Hemet/San Jacinto Valley]?

C.) What is the "Site of the Week" about?

    Good luck . . . Ron

[This extra credit opportunity will expire
11/15/02. Only once for this extra credit points per student.]

Ø     Homework will include both written assignments as well as computer lab projects and assignments. Before turning-in the assignments outlined in the schedule, you must complete the computer steps contained in the project. (Dont just read the project and then go to the exercises.) All homework is due at the beginning of the class meeting on the due date shown in the schedule.

Ø     All homework / extra credit must be done in Office XP (not hand-written) and have a cover page showing: CAPP-120B or OTEC-120; Class Code 0612 or 0478; your name; the project number; the assignment title and number; the assignment page; and the assignment due date (see sample cover page and sample extra credit cover page).

Ø     Participation is based on your preparation and participation for the class. Preparation means reading the material and keeping-up with the homework assignments. If you participate in every class meeting for the semester, you will receive a 3% bonus at the end of the semester. If you miss participating in only one class meeting, you will receive a 2% bonus. It is in your best interest to earn this bonus to help your  grade.

Ø     There are three hands-on exams in this class. They are designed to test how well you can perform various Internet features. They will be open book and open notes.

Ø     The Final Exam will cover all material reviewed in the class. It will consist of 100 multiple choice questions.

Ø     On tests and homework, maximum credit is earned by: following all directions and instructions; by producing a document which is professional in appearance; and by correcting grammatical errors, misspellings, or incorrectly used words.

Ø     All attempts will be made to follow the course schedule as outlined. However, circumstances may require changes in the schedule for any given class meeting.
