I began patchwork and quilting in June 1997 by enrolling in a patchwork course at a local community college. It took a year to finally finish my first quilt, and I made two more small quilts in that time.

It's all my mum's fault!  She's the quilter who got me really inspired, especially after she gave me a bed quilt she had made.

I am quite hooked on foundation piecing (what an understatement).  And I have been known to make more than a few little quilts (another understatement!)

I am a member of a few Aussie quilting lists on the internet - SCQuilters, WOFquilters and KindredQuilters, as well as some international lists - MiniTreasures and Foundation Piecers.  I find these lists are invaluable for advice, and they're not too bad for making friends and participating in swaps, either!
