This is a rug, but don't you just love that grimace?  I have to do this!  Ideas can come from everywhere...		 Autumn Lanterns 
Cut lid. Scoop out flesh; scrape walls. With pencil or washable marker, draw dot pattern on shell. Following pattern, make holes in shell using a power screwdriver or drill with a large bit. Scrape walls again. Put candle inside. Place lantern on a steady surface.
