One of my hobbies is taking photos. I think I am pretty good at it. Here are just a few that I like the best.

By the way - none of these are digitally enhanced (except the last one of the red rose) - all the colors are the actual colors. There are some really cool ones.

This photo was taken in Hawaii. I went there on a choir tour my junior year of high school. This photo also is published on Picture.com.(search for Cara Garvie).

This was taken in Florida at the Disney amusment park.

This was also taken in Florida.

I'll give you one guess.... yup - Florida. After I saw all the different colors of hibiscus they had, I decided to start taking a picture of each color.

This picture was also taken in Hawaii. The last night there, the sun finally gave us a beautiful sunset

.

This was taken in Ely, MN at Bear Island Lake. I was staying with my boyfriend and his family for a week, and on the last day, there was a spectacular sunset. A perfect way to end a perfect week.

This is one of my first photos. It was taken from my roof. I have a habbit of climbing out to the roof if there is a good sunset at night. It drives my parents mad, but look at the great shots I get!

This was also taken from my roof. My sister calles these clouds 'bubble clouds'.

I actually don't remember where this photo was taken. I found it one day as I was looking through my stuff. I think it's my backyard. It's too dark to tell.

This photo was taken at a park near my house. I love the sun flares.

I call this kind of cloud a 'God cloud' because of the way the sun bursts out from behind it.

This photo was taken out of our minivan window in the middle of the interstate. I think we were on our way home from a baby shower. These colors were too cool to miss out on, so I leaned out the window and took a picture.

This picture was taken from the top of the Empire State building in New York, New York. I LOVE New York. This was taken the night of a Garth Brooks concert in Central Park. We passed that up for this view. I think it was worth it.

This is my home - Lake Minnetonka. This was taken on one of the nicer summer days from a friend's boat. It's also displayed on Picture.com

This was taken out of a bus window in Kansas City, Mo. My choir toured there my sophmore year of high school. These clouds were, again, too cool to miss, so I'm so glad the picture turned out with no reflection off the glass.

This was taken at the rose gardens by my house. When I went, there were only a few roses left in bloom - this being one of them. I love roses.

This was also taken at the rose gardens. I love the small rose buds around it.

This picture, although I did not take it, I am proud of because I used my computer to modify the outsides of the pedals. There used to be another 'row' of pedals.
