Oriensolum is a land of powerful magic. From the Shadowcaster Mountains in the west to the Brim Desert in the east, wild mana can be found in the air, the water, and the ground. Arcane herbs grow from the very soil, and in certain places even the divine is brought to its knees. Story-sowers in Paradise tell of an ancient time when the magic of Oriensolum overflowed with bliss and bounty; that time is long past, and now much of its magic is found in pain and poison. Some claim the corruption is due the presence of dead gods; others say it is the Underverse that causes such taint. Whatever the reason, Oriensolum remains a beautiful, dangerous place to live and to travel. |
