The number of molecules in 22.4l of a gas at Standard conditions (1.02x1011 Pascals, 0 deg.  Celsius) is known as Avogadro's Number, and is found to be equal to NA = 6x1023 molecules.

RYAN PAUL O. BACULINAO
Good things come in small packages, and this line holds true for Ryan. He is one of the smaller boys in class, but being small doesn’t make him weak, delicate or fragile.
He knows his way around tools like a professional carpenter and makes himself worthy of praises as one of the consistent Avogadro students of the batch. It goes without saying that Ryan is tough, as tough as one can get, for he never backs down from challenges.
He doesn’t let pride get in his way, nor does he preserve a macho image. Ryan is a helpful guy, willing and eager, which enables him to win friends easily. In fact, people won’t find trouble approaching him on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. But Tuesday afternoons transforms him into the tough-and-fair Model 1st Platoon Leader.
He is also wise to the ways of the world, so you’d better think twice before making an enemy of this guy. Then again, who’d want to be on bad terms with Ryan?
MARY AMY FATIMA B. CAGAYAN
With her ala-Angelika looks and pang-consistent Avogadro intelligence, Amy, with no doubt, is one of the few Scientians who possess both the beauty and the brains.
Unlike her colleagues who dream of becoming engineers or accountants, Amoi prefers to be a ramp model someday. (illusyon lang!) Maybe this is the reason why she is often nagpa- pacute in the class.
Ironically, she can’t stand being in front of a small crowd---she claims to be shy. Her face flushes and her big ears turn red when she talks in the middle of the class, but not when she’s in front of the whole QueSci population (nakuha ngang maging SCB secretary eh!).
A patagong-GC (just in case you don’t know), Baby Kiamoy is well-loved by her classmates.  If you mysteriously lost a notebook, and when---out of the blue---it is “miraculously” returned to you, go through its pages and you’ll be surprised to see a personalized letter addressed to you with the famous starting line of hers … “Hi! Hello! How’s life?”
Mary Amy Fatima Baga Cagayan, like her name and list of nicknames, this girl will surely go a long, long, long, way. Watch out for her.
JUMYRSON C. CABRILLOS
Jumyrson Cabrillos is one guy who can live life without a comb. (Hindi mo kasi maiunat ang napakatigas niyang hair kahit anong suklay ang gawin mo.) Add that to the fact that he “molts” from time to time. (Baka kung anu-anong inilalagay para lang maitago ang katandaan!).
Tatang, as his classmates call him, is expected to be more mature than most of his classmates. But the truth is he is more childlike (childish actually) than Avogadro 4’s youngest member. One proof is that at 17, he still stammers, even with the simplest of words. With his mobile library (his bag), he is considered one of the outstanding students in school. In spite of his age, he still manages to cope with the “younger” ones. Being around him is like “retreating(?)” into the growing-up years, with the bonus of a lovable, fun “Kuya” hanging around with you.
SABRINA A. DEL ROSARIO
Desperately in need of cash? Sab the ‘utangan ng bayan’ is the answer. She always has spare cash whenever someone needs it. (Haba na sigurong listahan mo ‘no?) Not only is she well-off, but she is pretty too (See accompanying picture and tell us if we are lying). She definitely makes the boys turn their heads for a second look (titig na nga minsan eh). She has already proven herself by being the Avo 4’s muse and heartthrob.
Wait! Hear that noise? That’s probably Sab, one of the most garrulous person in class, in fact, she never run out of words on almost everything.
Though carefree and quite nonchalant with her studies, she still manages to reap high grades (galing kasi magmemorize, photographic, memory ba?). People say she’s a bit snobbish and flashy, but that’s because they haven’t met her Ms. Jeckel side. The truth is Sab is easy to love and trust, ask her friends, you’ll see.
JOHN PAOLO C. DALUPANG
He sings, gives speeches and writes thought-provoking essays. He cracks jokes and forces grins from our unwilling lips. He’s none other than … JP Dalupang.
JP is a large collection of attributes and traits both teachers and students would love to have. He has a good singing and oratorical voice, which he uses to earn glory for his alma mater.  Plus, he’s the first section editor (Science) of the Electron, from the Pilot sections. And he is one who did not simply floated with the “haughty” crowd of staffers, for he gave all he can (like dragging his very own, albeit antiquated, computer and leaving it in school during the production of the contest issue), and did it to the best of his abilities. The result is obvious: The Electron bested ALL school papers in the country as the best Science-Oriented Campus Publication during the NSPC and the Valencia Search.
He is kind and helpful, and rarely turns away from cries for help if he believes that he can do something for the person. He is very understanding and wishes to make lives better. These traits equipped him the fundamentals needed in pursuing one of his dreams---to become a clergyman. He is friendly and cheerful, and always tries to entice a smile from the people around him. It’s quite hard to find anything against him. Though he can be nosy, childish (and green-minded) at times, he means well and tries to do well. He is the kind of person that many people wish they would have for a friend. It was anti-climactic when the school awarded him as the Batch’s A-1 Boy.
MARIA CHRISTINA I. DE GUZMAN
Where’s Teanuts? You won’t find her inside the classroom most of the time. Check out the covered court if she’s playing her heart out. With her cute height, you may wonder how she can cope up with all those activities she has in grip. She is a member of almost (if not all) varsity teams – basketball, table tennis and volleyball squads – and spends most of her Saturdays breaking her back in training.
Most people often regard Teanuts as a happy-go-lucky person (well, a little bit), but she suddenly wakes up from the world of unknowns  to the fact that she needs to study.
But being in the varsity teams does not limit her to that stereotype. She can also be seen writing “Welcome” on the boards , playing the  guitar with the Pastel Tulips, or just sitting on the ledge with that “bangag” look on her face.
In a group, it’s like having ten persons working if Teanuts is around. Seems like a complex person, one can never understand the ups and downs of life like she does.
JUAN REPUBLIC M. DELLOSA IV
JR, Repapips, Juan – these are all appellations for just one creature.
Juan is an energetic person who can infect others with his enthusiasm, even without even breaking a sweat. Talkative and lively, he is the perfect guy to bring along on long, boring trips. He possesses an amazing memory when it comes to names and places. Ask him a country’s capital and he can give you the correct answer with the odds going in his favor.
Not only that but he’s a good sport.  He often finds himself the object of every other Scientians’ “affection” but he doesn’t let the jokes get to him.  Plus, there was the time when he was forced to play basketball during the intersection just so the class won’t  forfeit the game.
He knows how to forgive.  He can laugh away insults, and then some, but Juan will always come out of a verbal skirmish with a lopsided grin. Sure enough, he is tough as nails and resilient to boot – the makings of a wonderful person.
Check out the zipper, wouldja?
MA. KRISTINE SUZANNE P. DUA
All is idle inside the classroom. All of a sudden, someone stands up and yells an important statement. A few seconds later, everybody in the room proceeds to comply with the shouted decree. That someone, who probably saved all of her classmates from doom, is Kristine or rather Dua as called by her friends. An energetic young lady with a natural bent for leadership and for setting people into motion.
She is fun-loving and witty, cheerful and bright. Pero ‘wag ka, you might catch her in one of those bad trip days and you might end up being thrown out of the window. Woe to you, all enemies of this lady! You will forever feel that your back is a dartboard with her sharp stares. But her foul mood can easily be altered by the sudden beep of her pager or the ringing of her cellular phone. Hmmm … and who could it be this time?
At first glance, you would notice a similarity between Dua and the star of Esperanza. However, she’s not made for the tear jerky type of role, she’s a natural comedienne. She loves to smile and laugh and make the people around her laugh and smile as well. And obviously, she would rather bring people the sunshine than the clouds of despair.
JAMES S. EVANGELISTA
If there’s someone in the batch who looks like Mr. Bean, then there’s somebody who belongs to batch ‘99 who acts like Mr. Bean. But James is a much wiser version of Mr. Bean. His speaking, writing, reading and spelling skills in English are his most dazzling features- when he chooses to reveal them, that is.
Not only that but what draws people to him (if they muster enough courage to check out what’s behind his personality) is his honest-to-goodness way of living.  He’s trustworthy, kind and sincere---traits which make up a good friend.  Just treat him the way you want to be treated and you’ll have one more friend to look after you.
Most of the time he is covered up in his cool air of “What’s up? Oh, that.” Even if he doesn’t make waves among the ranks of the top ten, never underestimate this weirdo. He may be weird, but when he changes states, watch out!
MARIE CHRISTINE A. DURAN
Once you’ve heard the line, “Classmates, sinong magbabayad sa fund?”. Definitely you can single out who owns such high-pitched voice. Yup, that’s the Avogadro class treasurer. She can be annoying at times especially so if one is stingy!
Facing a lot of duties like being the President of Hi-Y Club and the class treasurer requires her to be responsible – and that’s what she is. Atlas is the name she connects herself to, because of mountains of works given to her (compared to her height!). It isn’t so bad, is it?
Christine, a.k.a. Duran, is a bit snobbish at times, but can easily be lightened up through suspense and horror pocketbooks (written by Anne Rice), or … chess! You heard it right! Chess is one among many hobbies she excels in. In fact she already won a medal in the 1998 Milo Chess Checkmate.
Tin2x as her close friends call her is a strong-willed girl. If her mind is already set to doing something, BEWARE! ‘coz nothing can stop her… make way!
RYAN P. FERNANDEZ
Actions speak louder than words. This is true when it comes to the 2nd platoon leader of the Alpha Company.  He’s a man of few words but when he talks, people listen (probably from amazement that this quiet guy can actually speak).
No one knows how he manages to attract members of the school’s female population without conversing with them, except (probably) for his Mathematics and Science skills. Oh, maybe its the smiles he imparts to the “elements” of the platoon under his command---which add to his pogi points.
He takes his responsibilities seriously and does his share of work efficiently, which could have convinced his classmates into believing that he is one of the nicest guys in the class.
Is this a case of misconception?  Only a few people are privileged (?) enough to be kept closer than an arm’s length.
But still water runs deep.
JENNY G. GADDI
Last year’s prom queen, Jenny Gaddi can be best described as cheerful and fun loving. She has been the envy of most girls having been the muse during her freshman year. This consistent Avogadro awardee has become the epitome of the phrase “beauty-and-brains.”
At first glance, you’d think she is quiet, but when you get to know her, she is very affable. There’s never a dull moment with her, even when she’s sleeping (eh kasi naman, tulog na nakadilat pa rin).
Her smile gives life to anybody who sees it, a smile that makes the boys go gaga over her. In reality, it is not her smile but her mala-bopek voice and vibrating kembot. She can definitely colour your world. She will even tell you why life is worth living. But, if you wish to find out what her stand is regarding certain matters, forget it. (Paano ba naman balimbing siya, noh!) It seems she cannot make up her mind when it comes to issues. She’s the gullible type---madaling utuin manlibre. But you’ll have a hard time looking for her after every meal that she eats. (Ask her friends why?) Definitely you can call her a masterpiece of our modern world. She is fragile but versatile, a stroke of pure excellence.
JAMES CONRAD A. LLANETA
James – mention his name and you’ll be able to conjure an interesting collection of cells, tissues, nerves and what-have-you – in short a fun guy. Though not high on the Achievers list, he manages to get by each day’s lessons by grasping the core truth with only a few details. Never leave a beverage bottle lying around the room whenever he’s in, ‘cause miraculously mutates into an instant P2 in his pocket. Daring, adventurous, slow to anger and always ready to help, James could be thought of as being a perfect superhero (ala-Jiban?). Although forgetful and clumsy at times, these just make him more enjoyable to be with. If you ever encounter James, even just once, he’ll be quite hard to forget.
JENNY R. GO
At first glance, one may think Jen is another brainless female whose only purpose in life is to decorate the world with another pretty face. Well, you’re dead wrong. Though she is not usually seen studying, she aces Math exams without breaking a sweat. She is unnoticeably smart and is gifted with a photographic memory. Isang basa lang, pasok na sa ulo.
As a classmate, Jenny will persuade you to finish a schoolwork, nag you until you do it, and make you feel like studying was your idea. From the way she sounds, parang ang dali niyang lapitan. Actually, you need to exert extra effort just to attract her attention, especially when it comes to group projects (reyna ng alibi yata ‘yan). Also, beware, kapag nawawala ang notebook mo, asahan mong nasa mabuting palad na iyon ni Jenny.
She also has her own wit and charm thus was elected SCB President (marami kasing nabola).‘Di dapat model? Well, Jenny is the only Go who’s not always on the go! Oftentimes, she can be seen entering the gate with an air of authority and dignity---after lunch that is. (Asus, late na naman!!) Well, what’s new. This has been the same Jenny for four years.
JONATHAN L. MACALINTAL
Music and sports seem worlds apart. Rarely do they mingle or even come close to each other. But then, there is an exception to every rule and, in this case, it’s Jojo.
He is one person who shows how it is to be a musician and an athlete at the same time. This friendly, easygoing guy plays the piano and guitar equally well, and manages to sing fine while playing his instruments. Jojo is also very much into sports. He not only plays but also excels in basketball and soccer. He doesn’t let his studies suffer, though. He keeps good marks and is in great physical health. He has a great personality and gets along with most people he meets and gets acquainted with. Considered to be one of QueSci’s leading ladies’ men, he is one guy who is not easy to ignore. Having been the zone escort during freshman and sophomore years serves as proof of his charm and appeal. Despite seeming like the dangerous playboy type, which he is not, Jojo is very evangelistic and has no qualms about being open about it.
RINA MARIE S. GUZMAN
If you take a look around the classroom, you can see Rina’s cherubic face reading intently or sleeping with her arms as pillows. (Which she does often, kahit hindi puyat) Indeed she is angelic not only in looks but also in disposition and words. She doesn’t summon full rage but is clear with her feelings. She doesn’t cuss or curse, and the whole class would heave a collective gasp if she ever utters even a tiny swear word.
Rina Marie - fondly called “Guzy” by her friends is the astrogirl who is often teased about her somewhat chubby frame (bochok!!) and amusing character. Slow to act and even slower to react, it takes her ten full minutes to figure out a joke. However, she laughs easily and can easily respond to banter, which causes even more laughter.
To top it all, she is musically talented. She is the bass player of one of Scientia’s all female bands.
With her, a destination can’t be reached on time due to her frequent stopovers… Pa’ no ba naman, buong Scientia, kilala siya! She is a joy to be around with, and even bigger joy to have as a friend.
JOSE ENRICO R. MANGASER
If you’re looking for an everyday person with an exuberant (Ows talaga?!?) charm and who works behind the shadows, look no more for Avogadro 4 has a perfect  person for you. Meet Enrico or Joey. A silent (isa pa ‘to) worker, you will never know he is there unless awarding time comes. A dancer (bigay todo during their Math Jingle), a singer (one of Himig Scientia’s tenors), and part of the Model Coy who joined the CATAI in UP (awarded 2nd Best in Map Reading). As a student, he’s really one of the best.  A born leader,: the undisputed president of Avogadro 4 has a reputation (run away from your responsibility and you will suffer the consequences). He’s also dead serious about his studies, but don’t be deceived with his seriousness. With his hilarious streak, you will never find a guy like him on Earth.
CHRISTINE MAE O. LINGAYO
Mae is an energetic little bundle of activity and ideas. She has a very interesting ability to get her own way, though not at all times.
But Mae isn’t all that bad. She’s actually kind and sweet. When facing a problem, she has lots of ideas and tries each to see if it works. She believes in giving any dilemma “the last shot.” And when it does happen, you can see her doing cartwheels around the room. Well, not really. Although she is athletic to some degree, she prefers to express her jubilation by hopping up and down. Her creativity and talent in performing arts help a lot. Choosing color combinations is not hard for her and that reflects her artistic side. One thing that Mae does best is getting teachers to give in to her request (is that “charisma”?).
In class, she is usually given the chance to lead the prayer whenever they are about to present. And call it luck or what because when she does, they win!
A simple person, Mae is a whole lot of fun and a gleeful “toilette” (ask Tina). Definitely you’ll miss half of your life if you haven’t known her.
JOSE LOUISE L. MAPA
He’s handsome, the perfect gentleman. However, do not be deceived by Louie’s looks. At first glance, you may think Louie is the silent type of person but he’s not. He’s just a regular guy just like anybody else. That includes being noisy and other weird stuffs that only crazy persons would do. Don’t even try telling your problems to him because he can be insensitive sometimes. However, he is good at what he does. He does well in different fields, especially in Math and Science. In fact, he often joins Math contests. You cannot see him studying but unknown to many, the facts and concepts of every lesson are safely stored in his computer-like mind. All in all, Louie is a fun loving person gifted with a complex personality.
RINA CARLA S. MENDOZA
She may be silent and snobbish at first glance but don’t get fooled with such interpretation. Rina, when you get to know, is exactly the opposite---very cheerful, outgoing and friendly. She likes inviting her friends to join her at Padi’s Point (Bliss, kasi malapit siya do’n nakatira) but if it is already an out-of-town barkada activity, isa siya sa mga numero unong ‘di papayagan!
She boasts of having one of the most positive attitudes in the batch. Every aspect of her personality, whether it may be beauty or brains, or up to her talent with the drums (bihira lang yata ang girl na marunong no’n), for certain, she will earn her admiration and respect. And when it comes to conveying secrets about love life, siguradong pati siya kinikilig. With matching kilig act na favorite ni Cesar.
Mendough, as her classmates call her, always has a smile, with of course the dimple on her chubby cheeks, in her face, to greet the day in a positive way and pass her cheerful attitude to those beside her.
CESAR L. MIJARES JR.
 “Ows?! Talaga?! Hindi nga?!!”
If this line ever catches your attention, and you decide to determine where it’s coming from, you’ll be led to the front row of the boys’ section in the class. You can find the source grinning like crazy from ear to ear. He then cracks another joke, and the people around him start laughing. The source, folks, is the one and only Cesar.
Cesar is a looney mix of talents. This smart, easygoing fellow can give David Gates a run for his money, as well as being an heir apparent to his Airness’ throne.
Even though he’s got all these skills, Cesar doesn’t look down on people. Sure, he also throws up a temper just like anyone, else. But a while later he’s back to his lovable, amiable self. Life will never be boring with this guy around
JUDITH G. MIRAFLOR ??
Judith -- the girl sulking in a corner has always maintained a low profile. For a fact, she’s very shy when it comes to people she doesn’t know. She seldom talks, but behind all this is a very sensible person.
The saying “never judge a book by its cover” also fits Judith character-wise. At first, she may seem snobbish. But if you get to know her, you’ll find that she relates with people well. She’s also crazy to a certain degree, especially during those “kulitan tournaments”.
Quiet people really tend to know more than those who talk a lot. Often her remarks are surprising that people would come to think about it. Along with her remarks is a strange sense of humor. Every time she tries to tell a story, she ends up laughing for no reason. Maybe an anecdote lies there, it’s your problem to figure it out. She also has a strong sense of dedication for anybody dear to her (you should see her Beatles  collection) . Best of all, she has an analytic mind which works perfectly with numbers. Judith has definitely proven that simplicity has its advantages.
KRISTOFFER M. ROBOSA
Have you seen the guy in Avogadro 4 who wears thick glasses? That’s probably Toppet, one of the school’s pride being the Bravo Coy 2nd Platoon Leader. He’s a consistent Avogadro student but has a low profile that’s why the class finds him very approachable and easy to get along with. Some people even think he’s not serious because most of the time, he can be found throwing different jokes with his circle of friends.  The other half of his personality reveals an ever-available listener and a dependable adviser. We find him as someone who can easily relate to various situations.
A year younger than most of us, we consider him as one of our babies, but we found him to be matured enough for his age. He is one of those few gentlemen who dare to face every challenge he encounters in his life---courageously.
JIHAN S. MONERA
When walking through the halls of the administration building, you will sometimes hear a rich voice floating through the mix of other noises. If you take time to track down the source, you’ll be in for a pleasant surprise. The source is a tall, nicely tanned (before she joined the CATAI, now ?!?!?)  individual whose long hair would remind you of the sexy star Lara Morena. But sexy movies are not her type ‘coz you can usually find Ji in her stand by mode na saktong-sakto para sa isang mala-dramatic na tele-nobela.  Jihan – a name as beautiful as her voice (beautiful daw, eh boses nanay na ‘yan eh), with a ready smile for those whom she wants to smile at, a frown that is at the ready for those who would hurt her, or any of her friends. Indeed, this pretty face hides a person protective of those whom she cares for but you just can’t protect your things from her, pa’no naman lahat hinihiram niya. Jihan can lift your moods with a smile, or sink them deeper, if she thinks you deserve it. Count yourself lucky if you can claim to people that she is one of your friends. Other people who know her will agree.
REYMUND P. TRINIDAD
“The best kept secret,” that is what people call him. Reymund does not mingle much with people. However, he is a totally different person in the classroom. Its like he has two personalities. Outside the classroom, he is the mild-mannered Reymund Trinidad; inside he is the hyperactive Trini. A fast learner, he could easily grasp lessons and concepts, no matter how complicated the subject matter may seem. He has no subject specialization, but he excels in all. There is no word that can quite describe him except maybe, extraordinary.
JULIE ANNE P. NAVARRO
As what many other people sees, she’s just a kid, but actually, a 16-yr-old high school stude who would not be allowed to enter a PG-15 movie. But more than that, she’s a woman more matured than what she appears to be.
She’s so talkative and gabby, but the kind to cheer you up when bored. At times, she feels bored too, but then suddenly breaks into laughter without you knowing why. She just drives you mad.
Being approachable, she has lots of friends. Whenever you need something, just tell her, and she’ll help you without much complaint.
A simple sorry would make everything good and fine again between the two of you if ever quarrels or fights occurred.
One thing more, she just can’t help giggling whenever she sees that 1st year ground. Sometimes, she speaks of nothing  but crushes. But mostly, you can really talk about everything.
She’s just the kind with whom you can be true with, ‘coz she is with you, a character you would find it hard to see in other people.
JUANITO H. VELASQUEZ JR.
As a soccer player and a lover of heavy metal and rock music (galing sa gitara!!), this guy can hardly be thought of as the thoughtful type. But indeed, he is one of the most generous boys in class. In fact, he is so generous that people tend to mistake him for Santa Claus during Christmas. And he doesn’t just give them gifts, he gives them presents of their choice, one only needs to ask. He says he is an existentialist, and yet he never fails to make others smile, that is, if he is in great mood. Why is his mood of Great importance? Simply because it changes so fast. And you wouldn’t want to catch him in a rut. Being temperamental, getting in his way in a bad time may be bad for one’s health. But behind his swift mood swings and short fuse lies a mature person (he has his moments…).
Jen is a blend of sobriety and antics, of resoluteness and generosity---guaranteed to be cool
JANDL JOYCE C. PEREZ
Jandl is the girl who gave her teachers a hard time pronouncing her name.
Aside from her name, this slim and tall lass is an extraordinary musician because she is a singer and a loyal member of Himig Scientia from 1st to 4th year and plays the piano and plucks the guitar.
Have you heard the song on Sesame Street which starts with “It’s a sunny day…” ? That is the song appropriate for her. It’s because her face pictures happiness. You can’t tell if she’s mad because her dimples always show up. That’s why frown is an alien to her.
Though cheerful and childlike, she gets serious when it comes to her studies (kaya naging consistent Avo). She is one of the few persons who like Math and solving its complicated problems.
S4 as her buddies call her, is very responsible. Handling a pile of work is quite easy for her (Darna na ba?).
Her friends love her unique traits. Though she’s the youngest among in class, you’ll be surprised with her weird situational questions.. She’s definitely extraordinary (one in a million, in fact). Simple yet astounding, that’s Jandl.
MARIA  LOURDES L. ABALOS
This young lady is very feminine and she always brings herself with poise. “Doctor Love” of the Class, is a name that exactly fits her because she’s fond of giving advice especially if it concerns problems of the heart. A “super-senti”, Lourdes knows every message of each love song. So, if you’re thinking of a song appropriate to your love story, don’t hesitate to approach her.
Lourdes is a contradiction of sorts, like a box containing different gems of assorted types. She may come as a snob---especially when she is serious---but as the saying goes, you can’t judge a book by its cover. Actually, Lourdes is very down to earth (as in to the core?). She cracks jokes, enjoys laughter and smiles – just like any average person. But don’t mistake average and ordinary as one and the same, especially when talking about her. If you meet Lourdes, you’ll get to know who she in within five minutes-- charming, annoying, sweet, patient and bossy.
In class, she’s a very responsible student. She hates to cram unless she has no other choice, and she hates getting low grades.
ANDALUS JULIE T. PUNONGBAYAN
Hataw ASA, hataw! (she cringes everytime she hears that word)
Julie is an existentialist slacker with an affinity for black. Don’t try to pin her down with responsibilities, though. Did you know that her fave subject is CAT??………NOT!!!! On the outside, she looks fine (despite her zigzag hairline and clumps of unkempt hair), but if you probe deeper, you’ll be amazed. There is no single word to describe her, no stereotype to fit her in. She may be quiet, or so it seems, but when she starts to speak her mind (f-word included), prepare to listen and doubt your theories and ideas. If you want to defend something and you don’t have the guts to do so, leave it to Asa (wala atang takot ‘yan no! Kahit mga teachers na ang nakakabangga, sige pa rin. Bakit? It’s the surname!). She gets really animated in the company of friends, who are just as lively as she is when she begins to be the real Asa. You can think of her as a gray box with a multicolored clown inside, just waiting to be opened. She can be kind, indifferent or hostile. And, she can be many things one cannot imagine.
AIREEN A. ABIERA
Aireen A. Abiera, or Len is a quiet, yet very charming young lady, and though not stunningly pretty, she is the living example of the phrase “You can’t judge a person by mere looks”. Her personality is full of surprises, much like those of a book, which you would like to discover. She can be moody, from being a cheerful inquisitive classmate to a stern but understanding Model Company Ex-O. A very kind- hearted person, she will always ask you “What’s wrong?” if she notices you in a frown. But even as she is that nice, be reminded never mess with her while she is seriously working, or else. But if there is one thing she can be consistent, it’s that you will always enjoy her company. Her being outgoing and cheerful makes her pal to cherish, and somebody to miss.
SHARMAINE D. RODRIGUEZ
Sha as we call her, likes to spend her free time playing volleyball. No wonder why she’s in the volleyball varsity for girls (jersey #3). Aside from that, this talented girl from Avogadro has not got only beauty but also the brains. She’s one of the school’s pride, being included in the top ten in Zone 4. Why? She’s good in Math, Calculus, Physics, Chemistry and other subjects that involves Math, that’s why she got the chance to compete outside the school, as one of our contestants.
She’s someone whom you can confide your problems, though an “isip-bata”. She will never turn her back on you. A product of hard work and perseverance, one who’s willing to offer a hand, that’s Sharmaine.
ELAINE GRACE M. BALBOA
Make way for the batch’s future diva!
If you were able to watch any of Avogadro 4’s class presentations, your eyes would not have missed Elaine – it’s either she had a solo performance or her voice simply stood out of the crowd during the choral presentation. Remember her astounding line, “Wait lang! …Oh, yes, wait a minute Mr. Teacher…” – with matching feelings.
This consistent Avogadro awardee is not only active in class, but is also an ACTIVIST at heart. Especially, when it comes to reprimanding Mr. Semana – her fave teacher. (Hindi na nga makahirit si Sir eh!) Not only that, she’s also a proud member of the Himig Scientia.
Also, behind this beauty and brains, is a “wild, childish, persistent, kiti-kiti-like, spendthrift, green-minded, walking paging system” of a person. If you’re beginning to think she is supermegaoverhyperactive, well you’re wrong! Elaine can be as prim and proper like the most conservative girls of the batch – minsan-minsan nga lang.
Ironically, Elaine is sentimental. She easily cries when she thinks someone is mad at her, when confronted with problems regarding her friends and even after a simple drama movie.
WARNING: Don’t ever dare fight with this girl, kung ayaw nyo siyang maglupasay sa sahig at mag-iiyak!
CHRISTINE D. TALAUE
Looking for phone pals? Ask Christine, she’s got lots of ‘em.
Apart from this, she is a very cheerful person. In fact, you can make her laugh through corny jokes. She’s always ‘game’ when it comes to gimmicks and stuffs. But when you speak of studies, her other half shows, for academics is her first priority. She never forgets to read in advance (especially in Physics), that proves an ingredient to her high grades.
Tin, or Talaus, as her friends call her is a very meticulous person, she makes sure that her work is always close to perfection. Christine is a genius ( but not a nerd!), she’s good in spatial objects so does in sketching. She plans to be an architect someday. That is Tin-tin.
