2009 NDA National Dance Championships: Daytona Beach, FLA!

For the past six years, our team has competed in �University Cup� events held in various cities across Ontario. These competitions feature numerous Ontario and Quebec universities and colleges and have all been great experiences for our team. In 2008, we won the title of �University Cup Champions� by obtaining the highest score for our jazz routine �Ruby Blue�. We have decided to attend a national level competition in our upcoming season. In April 2007, we became the first Canadian team to attend the prestigious NDA Competition in Daytona Florida. The competition is hosted by the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) and the National Dance Alliance (NDA), which have been leaders in the industry since 1948. Each year NCA/NDA camps train over 100,000 dancers and cheerleaders across the United States, and their championships attract thousands of aspiring performers. Their championships are broadcasted across Canada and the United States on the Fox Sports Network. NCA and NDA pride themselves on being able to offer lifelong memories, friendships, and athleticism which pave the way for future success in life.

In 2007 we were able to travel to Daytona, Florida for the competition because of extensive fundraising on behalf of the team. Due to the generosity of people in our communities willing to donate to our hard working, ambitious team, we were able to compete in Florida.

Our team is looking to raise approximately $18 000, and EVERY contribution brings us closer to our goal. We would greatly appreciate any assistance that you are able to provide. This can also be a wonderful publicity opportunity for your organization. Through various means (logos on our uniforms, banners at widely watched and frequently televised varsity basketball games, website advertisements/links), we would be happy to help provide exposure for your company.
