We are ready to get the 2009/2010 Season underway!

We have lots of exciting things planned for this year, including performing at the Golden Gaels home basketball games, attending Terpsichore Dance Celebration in Guelph and Bust A Move Dance Competition held at U.O.I.T in Oshawa.

Audition dates for the 2009/2010 team will be announced soon.

The Dance Team's 08-09 Season is OVER! With a few overalls and special awards under their belts, the team has been a success at competition this season!
Finishing out the year with a breathtaking performance at the Dance Battle, which was held in the April, and their 1st place win, the girls are looking forward to next year!

Thank you for your support, see you in the 09-10 season!

The girls competed in a pilot competition in Oshawa, ON this weekend! At Bust a Move (BAM) Ashley Jenkin was awarded BAM CHAMPION for her lyrical solo. Her dance also won for choreography, highest overall lyrical number, and highest overall solo. Congratulations Jenks!
Hilary and Alicia also received a special Judge's award, "Connected", for their duet "You Say". Paige was the recipient of the "Pure Passion" award for her solo "Word Up". Congrats!

The whole team will be performing their large groups "Ruby Blue" and "When Doves Cry" at the annual Queen's Dance Club Recital: Just Dance! On March 27th, 28th, and 29th. Tickets can be bought from Destinations now!

At Terpsichore's University Challenge in Guelph Queen's Dance Team came 1st overall for large groups for the first time in 3 years!! After braving an intense snowstorm, the girls pulled through and performed our award-winning number in just 20 minutes!
We now head off to Oshawa for round 2 against other Ontario Universities, and are confident we can do it again! Break a leg!

Now that the basketball season is coming to a close, the Dance Team is preparing to go to competition! Thank you to everyone who donated to our bake sale or attended our smoker, your contributions to our fundraisers was greatly appreciated!

Our first competition this year is the Terpsichore Dance Challenge with the University Cup held at the Riverrun Center in Guelph! We are also competing at Bust a Move competition in Oshawa! We've been working hard and we hope to maintain our 'golden' reputation!

After an exciting weekend dancing at the basketball games against Carleton, and performing for the opening ceremonies for the Winter Adapted Games (WAG), the Dance Team is preparing for one of their busiest weekends yet! The team will be holding a bake sale at all basketball games this weekend to raise money to go to competition this year in Guelph and Oshawa, and help support next year's team in their hopeful travels to Daytona for the NDA Championship once again!

The Dance Team will also be having a fundraising smoker on Saturday, Feb. 2nd at Alehouse in order to raise money for competition! Tickets are $5, which waives cover, the line, and invites you to a private party upstairs where a free drink will be waiting!! Head over to Ale and help us go to competition! On SUPERBOWL sunday, Feb. 3rd, the Dance Team will also be performing at the Molsen Football party held at Stages!!

The Dance Team made their volleyball debut at both the men's and women's games on Jan. 12! Stay tuned for more fundraising activity, and come and check us out at the basketball games on Jan. 25th!

We're performing at our second set of basketball games this weekend (Nov. 30th and Dec 1st)!!!! We have some new routines, and some surprises for the holiday theme of the Saturday night games!!! Hope to see you all there!

Our first fundraiser of the year: Retro Night at Alehouse!!!! Was a great success! Thank you to everyone who came out to support the team!

The team performed for the first time at a Women's Basketball game to support Breast Cancer Research on November 2, 2007
Also, the first set of games were on November 9th and 10th!!

NDA/NCA Collegiate Championships - April 4-8, 2007 - The team headed to sunny Daytona Beach, Florida to compete for the first time in this exciting, prestigious National Championship event! The team was the first Canadian dance team to enter this competition, and placed 7th in the Challenge Cup!

The Golden Tam Awards - March 23, 2007 - The team was awarded "best dance", and performed their Daytona routine for the guests!

Art/Sci Formal - March 16, 2007 - The team performed an exciting "Roxanne" routine for the formal guests!

Dance Team Competition - March 10, 2007 - The team headed to Guelph for the third year to competete against other schools from across Ontario and Quebec! The team placed 2nd and 3rd overall!

Dance Team Fundraiser - February 10, 2007 - Come out to Smijie's for some good times in support of the team!

Alzheimer's Walk - January 28, 2007 - The DT will be performing and leading a warmup for all participants! See you there!

WAG Opening Ceremonies - January 27, 2007 - The DT will be performing once again at the opening ceremonies of the Winter Adapted Games, hosted by the schools of Physical Education and Rehab. This year's theme: Superheroes!

Dance Team Competition - March 11, 2006 - The team travelled to Guelph and competed against 14 other schools from Ontario and Quebec, placing 1st in their jazz division and placing 3rd overall in both the large & small group categories!

Dance Team Fundraiser (round 2!) - February 4, 2006 - The team headed to Alehouse for another night of good times, in support of the team's competition expenses.

WAG Opening Ceremonies - January 27, 2006 - The DT performed once again at the opening ceremonies of the Winter Adapted Games, hosted by the schools of Physical Education and Rehab. This year's theme: Rodeo!

QSAB/K4K Charity Concert - January 25, 2006 - The team performed at the QSAB/K4K fundraiser for the Kingston General Hospital at the Alehouse.

Dance Team Appreciation Night - December 3, 2005 - The team performed at the men's and women's basketball games against Ryerson, and held a 50/50 draw with proceeds going towards competitive endeavours.

Basketball HOME OPENER - November 11, 2005 - The basketball season is set to begin!!

Dance Team Fundraiser - November 5, 2005 - The dance team hosted an evening of fun at the Alehouse.

Charity Ball Genie Auction - November 3, 2005 - The team "auctioned" themselves off for charity, being bought for $340 by the men's basketball team (the highest bid of the evening!). The team will now provide dance lessons and make dinner for the basketball team. Coincidently, the dance team bought the basketball team for $260.

Elixir Charity Fashion Show - October 28, 2005 - The team provided entertainment to the guests by performing an exciting medley of new routines.

Cover Your Crest - October 12, 2005 - This annual event to raise money for the "Kids 4 Kids" organization at Queen's was again a success. The dance team performed outside of Stauffer library to encourage people to donate to the cause.
