 
1. The assignments for every issue of the ICAlettes will be e-m@iled to the entire staff so as for you to know what you're suppose to do with the use of the helpful yahoogroups. Ü 2. Meetings and General Assemblies are held when the need arises and every member must attend unless you got a valid excuse. Ü 3. All layouts when done must be zipped and mailed to [email protected] or uploaded in the files section of our yahoogroups. 4. It's gonna be hectic but it's a must to be PROMPT. Ü 5. Follow the measurements and BE CREATIVE! Ü
1. If you are working on the front page never forget the masthead I already uploaded it ; you can find it at the files section of our yahoogroups. 2. Always put the bylines to give recognition to the writer and follow this format by : Name_Family Name_III - Goodness 3. Never forget the margins! " 11.75 x 13.35 " - 0.5 margin on ALL sides for the bigger issue and " 9 x 12 " for the small issue 0.25 margin on ALL sides, BUT for both remember to leave an extra 0.5" space from the top for the page numbers. Ü ( BIG : 11.75 x 13.35 [ 0.5 ] SMALL : 9 x 12 [0.25] ) 4. Gradients are nice but will not work with the printers so don't bother use them. Okay? Haha! 5. All pictures should be clear with at least a 300 resolution. Resizing pictures on your own is also a NO NO. Ü If you want to resize pictures you must hold the shift key while resizing. Otherwise your image will be deformed. If pictures will be a hassle to you, make use of those stars, squares, and lines . . . Pagemaker's got. 6. Putting shapes at the back of text will make it nicer BUT it's opacity must be light . . . around 40% - 50% 7. We're not colored so you oughta play with the shades of gray. Never choose 40% then 50% there would be no difference. There should be intervals to come out well in the printers. 40% -- 60% -- 100% gets? Something like that! Ü 8. Make use of black background with white text. Just like this hehehe! Because it comes out nice with the printers. But not TOO many okay? haha! Baka Ma-Over kasi diba ?! Ü Know your limits! Ü 9. Use fonts of all sorts if you wish but you must also send the fonts you used. Same procedure... zip the fonts and send the to me. Arial / Times New Roman for reading fonts okay? Para easy to read when printed and no confussion! Ü 10. Just be as creative as possible...let your imagination soar... copy ideas from magazines or previous nice works and of course enjoy ! ÜÜÜ
