| Not to be confused (not that most people will :P) with the game called BAO which is popular in Africa, the BAO we are referring to is the BAO or PAU that is popularly eaten in Singapore... | ||||||||||||||||
| INTRODUCTION "Tao of Bao" is a topic that all four of us in the Clarinet group have unanimously agreed upon. As an essentially Chinese staple food in the past, bao has certain implications for us. Lau Tzu's Tao Te Ching originated from China, and baos also originated from China, hence the linkage between them already formed before our in-depth analysis of the Tao of Bao. Moreover, all of us are Chinese, with our roots dating back from China, hence, old Chinese saying of always remembering your roots (yin shui si yuan), we have decided that it was indeed an apt topic to do. We have also found a common liking for the different types of baos in our group. |
