KOTA KINABALU
There is so much to experience in and around Kota Kinabalu. There are also so many other fantastic places in Sabah you can explore with Kota Kinabalu as your base. Here, we present some “MUSTS”, attractions that you shall not miss when you visit Kota Kinabalu.

i) Filipino Market
Located right in the middle of the city, facing the sea. The market area is quite big actually and the locals named it as Pasar Besar (Central Market), Pasar Ikan (Fish Market-behind the Central Market) and Pasar Filipino (Consist of Salted Fish Market, Fruits Market, Handicraft Market, Vegetables Market, Fish Market and Cooked Food Stalls).

KUNDASANG
Kundasang is a town in the district of Ranau in Sabah, Malaysia that lies along the bank of Kundasang Valley. It is located about 6 kilometres away from Kinabalu National Park, 12 kilometres from Ranau town and is renowned for its vegetable market which is open seven days a week. It is the closest town to Mount Kinabalu and has a panoramic view of the Mountain. It is populated mainly by the native Dusun and a small population of Chinese people. Almost all the shops are operated by locals.

i) Timpohon Gate
Timpohon Gate at Kinabalu Park is the primary entry point to climb Gunung Kinabalu - 9km on the summit trail to Low's Peak with Laban Rata located along the way. This is the first checkpoint taken by climbers in the morning located about 4km away from the park's office but accesible by road. Heavily fenced, an office records the entry and departure of all climbers and porters using this entrance. The gate is housed within a large house that also provides a small convenience store and observatory platform on top that overlooks the valley and Mount Kinabalu's western ridge. Visitors are free to lounge on this deck and feed tame wild squirrels while soaking in the dramatic mountain view

ii) DESA CATTLE DAIRY FARM
Located at the foothill of Mount Kinabalu, Desa Cattle Dairy Farm offers one of the most amazing scenery one could envision. Often chosen as a wedding photography destination, with the majestic Mount Kinabalu overlooking beautiful green pastures, the scenery is breathtaking, not forgetting the cool breeze that Kundasang has to offer.

The real attraction here is the cattle farm, producing about 900,00 litres of milk per year. The farm is 199 hectars and most of the milking cows are Friesians, the highest milk producers of all cattle breeds.

It is an ideal destination for the whole family, where there are activities such as feeding the calves with bottled milk, feeding goats with grass, how milk is processed as well as the milking process are available for all. If you have ever wondered how milk is made, Desa Cattle Farm is the place for you.
