Unfortunately every event of this type has to have some sort of rules in place to allow everyone to enjoy themselves and also for health and safety.
Following these rules will allow Midlans to continue and to grow.

1. Midlans reserves the right to refuse entry at any time to its events, or to ask people to leave.
2. The minimum age for Midlans events is 16 years of age!
3. You are responsible to meet the requirements listed on a page provided in the Lans section on this site.
4. No speakers! Please bring in your own headphones.
5. Smoking - Depending on the venue, which is usually a Hotel or some other public place smoking in the event room is not permitted.
6. LAN/Internet Useage -The network for Midlans events have been optimised for LAN gaming and has been setup for you to enjoy lag free gaming, however file sharing between machines on the network is allowed, but not during the time of competitions to prevent lag.
7. Behaviour - Midlans are a social event centered around gaming, they are designed to be as much fun as possible. To this end we expect our members to behave appropriately.
8. Violence - Acts of violence towards Midlans organisers, Midlans party members, equipment or the venue, including any affiliates therefore will not be tolerated. If this happens you will be removed from the event.
9. Cheating - Absolutely no cheating at any multiplayer games at the event.
10. Attendance - If the attendance is good at an Midlans event, then more money can be reserved towards prizes for the next LAN.
11. Members that have booked a place may bring a friend, which he/she will be responsible for.
12.At an event, everyone is to keep their area neat and hazard-free (no loose cords, etc.) and please use the rubbish bins provided.
13.Disclaimer - While every effort is made to ensure a safe environment for you and your system, Midlans and its affiliates accept no liability for damage or loss occurred while at an event, this includes but is not limited to damage to your property (computer, car etc), virus infection, thefts and personal injury. Attendence is at the members own risk, and it is the members responsibility to ensure that they have adequate ant-virus protection, firewall etc.
Attending a Midlans event indicates that you have read and agreed to abide by these rules set up by the organizers and the land owners. If everyone goes by these rules, we will all enjoy the LAN!
