| Both of us are big
sports fans. Although we may not agree on the best baseball team
in the NL-Central (Cards or 'stros), we definitely agree there is not
many better ways to spend an evening, then by watching a baseball,
hockey, or football game with a few friends.
We enjoy golfing, tennis, float trips, camping,
water sports, and fishing.
We both play indoor coed volleyball and outdoor
coed sand volleyball. We recently took up coed softball and Terry
plays slow pitch softball on a men's league. He also bowls in a
league. We are pretty busy most nights with sports and wouldn't
have it any other way! |

We were introduced by
Dawn (right), a friend of Staci's family and the mother of Terry's
college friends. They invited him to St. Louis for a
weekend. He impressed Dawn so much that she decided to have him
meet me. The next time Terry and the guys came into town Dawn
invited me over to casually meet Terry. We finally met later that
night, went out with friends, and have been arguing Cardinals and Astros
ever since. |

September 23, 1999
We
were planning an upcoming vacation in Orlando
with Terry's family and I had a feeling he
might propose in Florida. In order to ensure an element of shock and
suprise, Terry planned the proposal before we left for vacation. He
set up a night to go to dinner to celebrate our monthly anniversary date
(a regular event so no big shock there). That same day he bought
tickets for For the Love of the Game, a movie we'd been wanting to see,
and quite an appropriate title for us. We ate dinner at TGI Fridays then
went to the show. Walking out to the car we were admiring the full
moon which distracted me from the dozen roses in the front seat of the
car. Terry arranged for his brother to put the flowers in the car
and tape a card to the window. He opened my door for me and then I
looked in and saw the beautiful roses, as I turned back to Terry with the
card, he went down on one knee right in the parking lot. The card
actually said, "Will you marry me?" He asked me and put
the ring on my finger. What a surprise! I was definitely not
expecting that then! We got home and started calling our parents to
them them the great news!
