PWP - Baltimore Chapter 001 - Programs

PWP - Baltimore Chapter 001 offers various programs for our members. Whatever your interests, we have something for everyone - and all events are organized by our member volunteers (something were very proud of !!!!)

Family and Youth

Would you like to spend more meaningful, quality time with your children ? The focus of our Family and Youth Program is on providing quality, family oriented activities for parents and children to do together. Our Family and Youth Committee plans and organizes an endless list of wonderful activities, all at affordable costs - bowling, roller-skating, swimming, picnics, parties, sporting events, day trips to amusements parks, and more ! If the great outdoors is your bag, we also have a very active camping group.

Programs and Education

The purpose of this committee is to meet the educational needs of our membership. We hope to expand the minds of our members through group discussions, guest speakers, activities, and outings. We strive to keep our calendar listings balanced between adult only and and family items. Small group discussions are given on topics such as:
Parent Social Events

Happy, single adults make great parents !! This committee organizes house parties, trips, dinner/movie outings, crab feasts etc. , all of which are designed to meet the social needs of our adult members. One of our more popular activities is our weekly volleyball games - you dont even have to know how to play (well teach you !!). All Parent Social activities are adult only events, providing single parents the much needed opportunity to "mingle", make new friends, and in general strengthen those social relationships that are important to our personal growth.

In addition, PWP Baltimore Chapter 001 sponsors a Singles Dance on the third Sunday evening of every month, from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, at Columbus Gardens in Perry Hall. All dances are open to the general public, but members get in for a reduced admission price of $ 6 (all proceeds help fund our Family and Youth Program). Our dances usually feature a DJ or a live band.

New Member Services

Heres where it all begins !! Our New Member Services Committee helps you get started in PWP. Orientation meetings for Baltimore Chapter 001 are held the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 PM at the Baltimore County Public Library - White Marsh Branch (Sandpiper Circle and Honeygo Blvd. near White Marsh Mall). These orientation meetings introduce the new member to PWP. At the end of the meeting, we assign each new member an Amigo - or a more experienced PWP member - to ease the transition for new members. Your Amigo is your friend - someone you can always rely on to help you enjoy the most of your PWP experience.
