He was residing in Allegan Co. when he enlisted, at age of 22, as a Private in Company "K". He enlisted on the 10th of May 1861 in Kalamazoo.
He was promoted to Corp.
He was Killed In Action (KIA) in Jackson Ms on the 11th of June 1863 -or- 07 July 1863.
