Tamora Pierce is a full time writer whose fantasy books include, The Circle of Magic, The Circle Opens, Protector of the Small, The Immortals, Song of the Lioness and Trickster�s Choice. Tamora Pierce was born in western Pennsylvania in 1954, has lived in various states across America, and currently resides in Manhattan. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, she studied social work, film, and psychology. She has also been a martial arts movie reviewer, housemother in a group home, a literary agent's assistant, head writer for a radio production company, and an investment banking secretary. She lives with her writer/filmmaker husband Tim Liebe, and her three cats (Scrap, Vinnie, Ferret), two birds (Zorak and the Junior Birdman) plus any other animals rescued from the park.
