Regarding the animated Ryu GIF: As I've seen this little number all over the WebRing, I can't really give anyone any real credit, as the person I stole it from more than likely stole it from someone else. What I CAN say about it is that it's from the Street Fighter Animated Movie, which was OK, but not really recommended. (When is Capcom going to come to their senses and let ME write the storyline for an SF movie?) Opinions on this movie vary, but it's not the best Street Fighter movie out now, in my opinion. If you're already a hardcore SF fan, and you fast-forward through all the "blah storyline" junk and the "hey we need to throw THESE characters in there too" bits and the "hey let's just make these up as we go along" flashbacks and only watch the 3 interesting battles, (Ryu vs. Sagat at the very beginning, Chun-Li vs. Vega/Balrog in the very middle, and Ryu/Ken vs. Bison/Vega at the very end), then yeah, it's interesting, (and worth a rental). Oh yeah that Ryu vs. Fei Long fight was kind of cool as well. Guile was a real loser. All he did was drive around in his fancy sports car and talk on his cell phone all day. Some action hero, eh? The only time he really did anything interesting was his U-turn in a traffic jam, and he contributed SLIGHTLY in the final battle with Bison/Vega (He missed a somersault and threw a Sonic Boom that missed completely and blew up this old shack that had mysteriously appeared out of thin air) er, was that E. Honda's house? And if Ryu had such a hard time climbing that mountain, what the hell was a SUMO WRESTLER doing up there?! By the way Ryu talked too much. But if you're NOT a SF fan it doesn't really do much to turn you into one, is what I mean. However, keep an eye out (as you're fast-forwarding) for the part in the middle when Ken and Eliza are driving down the road and Ken has one of his "make-believe fantasy-world" flashbacks, and, well, you'll just have to see for yourself. Pretty funny.
Animation-wise, some parts are absolutely horrible, some are ok, some are excellent, like the opening scene with Ryu and Sagat, which someone turned into a very nice animated GIF, but since I don't know who that person is, I can't give them the proper credit. If I knew who you are I'd give it to you but I don't so I can't. Nice work, though. Anyway it's pretty nifty, 'eh? I'd give credit to the person I stole it from but he probably stole it from somebody else...
If you want to see a GOOD animated Street Fighter movie, do yourself a favour and buy "Street Fighter Alpha: the Movie". For a movie based on a video game, it really is pretty good.
