How to Play

This is an e-mail RPG meaning that you play through your e-mail. There is no dice or actual real life role playing. It's all written.

Basically how it works is you write in the view of your character only. You can only perform actions for your characters or non player characters. Use of another player's character without their permission is strictly forbidden. So in essence you just write a story from your character's point of view. And that's mainly it! Just follow the rules found below and have fun!

There are two ways you can post your message to other group members.

One is through the e-mail address you subscribed with. Send your posts and replies to other posts to the e-mail address of the board and everyone will receive it. Though there is usually a delay in e-mail messages and can cause conflicts in the story. This can be caused when one is writing a message and there are several people in your current storyline posting as well. So they posted while you were writing your post and you send yours after theirs causing a conflict in the storyline.

The second method is to go directly to the Yahoo Message Board where the posts are stored by Yahoo. But to access the board to post you need an ID associated with whatever e-mail address you subscribed with. To see how to get one, go to the bottom section in How to Join.  Once you have the ID you can access all the options on the left hand side of the Yahoo Message Board for Pureheart allowing you to post directly from the board.

Rules

  • No power gaming. In other words your character is not invincible. When your  character should have been severely hurt, your character should not act like they were just hit by a feather

  • No sex, hentai etc.

  • Cannot kill other main characters without their permission

  • Cannot control other main characters without their permission

  • Don't destroy everything in sight...in fact don't destroy anything major without talking to one of the moderators first

  • If your make your character die, they are dead permanently unless there is a plausible and reasonable explanation behind how your character survived, which must be sent to a moderator before you continue posting as that character.

  • If your character undertakes some kind of construction, like an office building, it will not be completed in a post. To add an element of reality it will take at least a month real time for a building that to be completed.

  • Temp characters are just that, temporary. If you are going to use a temp character for an extended period of 3 or more months then please remove one of your other characters from the game until your plot is done and your get rid of the temp.

  • When creating characters one must be good, evil or neutral. Another MUST be of different alignment then the first. Your last character MUST be a non aggressive character. In other words a character that doesn't know how to fight. For example a storekeeper or just a regular person. The non aggressive can be of any alignment.

  • Most importantly respect other players and have fun!

Failure to follow these rules will result in suspension, banning or another punishment decided upon by a moderator!
