Why do you follow what you cannot see?

My soul to ashes
My body to dust
The only thing that remains will be rust
The gleam in my blade to fade out
Into the echo that you shout
My name to be forgotten and what for?
I long for nothing, not any more
I will walk away into the sand
Forever in time with nothing left to hold in my hand...
